Fans 'praying' for Sharon Stone after she reveals she has large fibroid tumor following misdiagnosis
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Sharon Stone, who is known for her bold portrayals of characters in various movies throughout the 1990s has left her fans stupefied after she announced her latest health problem. The 'Basic Instinct' actress revealed that she had been misdiagnosed by doctors and actually had a tumor that needed to be removed.
"Just had another misdiagnosis and incorrect procedure," she wrote on Twitter on November 1. "This time double epidural. With worsening pain went for a SECOND OPINION: I have a large fibroid tumor that must come out." The 64-year-old urged women not to "get blown off," and advised them to always "get a second opinion" from another doctor. "I'll be down for 4-6 weeks for full recovery," she concluded. "Thx for your care. It's all good."

It was simply unbearable. She finally received an accurate diagnosis followed by surgery. Recovery was a bit slow but she did fine."

One Twitter user pointed out she has something in common with Stone by writing, "Turns out Sharon Stone and I have something in common. In both cases, our docs missed giant fibroid tumors. Glad she's on the mend, too. Maybe I should see if she wants to do some Wordscapes while we're recovering." Another Twitter user added, "Thank you @sharonstone for sharing your misdiagnosis. The EXACT SAME thing happened to me. Years of worsening symptoms & being gaslit by a monsterous Dr who said it was all in my head even though the 2 lb tumor made me look pregnant. Hysterectomy a year ago but ptsd remains."
