Want a juicy vegan burger? The latest pitch on ‘Shark Tank’ by Everything Legendary founders is all you need for a mouth-watering bite. The trio of entrepreneurs – Jumoke Jackson, Danita Claytor and Duane Cheers – from Hyattsville, Maryland made quite an impression with their accent and their presentation when they stepped on the stage.

The Black-owned company says on their official website, “We believe that flavor is the soul of food. Take a stand with us and demand nutritious food with taste.” It continued, “We’re crafting food inspired by our original legend – mom.”

Everything Legendary on ‘Shark Tank’: What is the cost, who are the founders and where to buy classic gourmet burger?

Seeking a $300,000 investment for a 10% stake in their company, the three pitched their deal and Sharks were quite impressed with the burgers. Talking about their product, they revealed that it has only 15-gram calories and comes frozen as well.

The one thing that really stood out for the Sharks was the sales. Moreover, when Kevin O'Leary asked them how much was spent on customer acquisition, they said no money at all. The company's promotions were all through word of mouth and they hadn't spent a penny on digital ads.

Mr Wonderful complimented the brand and said it was “the best burger” he has ever had but also said he didn't want to invest in it. Meanwhile, for Barbara Corcoran, the price difference with other burger brands became a major challenge and she opted out too. Mark Cuban — who is known for his vegan product investments — then made an offer and the founders said yes to a 22% stake.

Cuban stole the deal in his classic trademark style. Celebrating the deal, the official ‘Shark Tank’ handle read: “This is one happy (and full) vegetarian Shark.” After watching Daniel Lubetzky tweeted, “You should be ok charging a premium for premium quality, but at some point, the market won’t bear it if delta too high. Hope Everything Legendary guys breakthrough because they sound AWESOME! Can’t wait to try it.”

Viewers watching the show were impressed. “I am going to eat half that burger and then keep the other half in my bed's side flap in case I get hungry overnight,” one said and another posted, “That is a phenomenal burger.”

A third, however, did feel the price was too much. “@everythinglegendary $45 for a 4 pack? That’s a little steep for 4 patties.” And a fourth added, “A vegan burger with vegan cheese infused, at only 25cal & 15 grams of fat? Sign me up! Except for $75 for eight patties. Did I hear that right? Yikes!” Slamming the founders, one posted, “Dude on Shark Tank selling Vegan Burger just threw a jab at a Vegan restaurant In Atlanta… They are not a Shark, they are a StingRay.”

Many were taken aback by their energy levels. “When these black people started talking I thought they were on that shit or something cuz they were SO ANIMATED, HYPE, and so dang AMPED UP and stuff, LMAO!!!!” one tweet read and Barbara even posted, “If you don't come into the Tank with high energy, it's really hard for us Sharks to get excited about your product. These three have phenomenal energy levels!”

Nonetheless, everyone was happy with the offer from Mark. “Wow! An offer from @mcuban is fantastic and also speaks to the taste! Congratulations to #EverythingLegendary! I look forward to trying your vegan burger!” Another said, “Smart never be afraid to counter on #SharkTank and met in the middle and you get the deal. Those #vegan burgers look expensive but I'll keep my eyes open for them.”

One even rolled out a tip saying, “I wonder though if @mcuban is accounting for how much DoorDash and Grubhub and the I'll take out in fees from the business. It might be as profitable as it seems.”
