Japanese multinational video game company, Nintendo's latest tweet brought an old Shane Dawson's controversy to light. Back in 2019, the bisexual YouTuber joked about a sexual act which he performed on his cat, and he was slammed so badly in no time that he made a public apology for the comment.

Nintendo of America tweeted on February 13, 2021, "Meow meow meow! Nothing feels better than the inside of a cat!" and in no time some mischievous Internet users started saying that the Nintendo account was being run by Dawson, pointing out at the 2019 controversy.

In a podcast released in March 2019, Dawson claimed, "One time, I laid my cat down on her back and then moved her little chicken legs spread open. I came all over the cat." As soon as his comment came to light, Twitter users bashed him verbally for the obscene comments. In a series of tweets, he apologized later.

In the series of apology loaded tweets, he wrote: "i didnt f*ck my cat. i didnt c*m on my cat. i didnt put my d*ck anywhere near my cat. Ive never done anything weird with my cats. I promised myself i wasnt going to make apology videos after last years thing so im just trying to be as short and honest with this as possible. (1/?)" and "ive apologized many times for all the dumb shit ive said in videos and podcasts over the years. ive learned my lesson over and over again and im more confident now in my ability to be entertaining by just being myself and not being so shocking for laughs.(2/?)" He further explained saying, "that story was fake and was based on a dumb awful sketch idea I had years ago that i never made (THANK GOD) and when the opportunity came up for a funny moment in the podcast I told it as if it was a real story which was DISGUSTING and VERY VERY DUMB (3/?)"

He also said, "now that im making stuff i love and im being myself it feels so much better and i finally feel like im putting stuff out into the world that means something. im not saying i hate everything ive made over the years (5/?)" and "i feel like without my past i wouldnt be who I am today and i wouldnt be able to grow & spend my energy on things that actually mean something. this has been the best 2 years of my life & its because ive been able to drop the act & be myself. and im sorry for not doing it sooner" along with many other clarifying tweets.

Now as soon as Nintendo of America's official handle made the "meow meow" tweet, one person retweeted it, saying, "I didn’t realise Shane Dawson ran Nintendo’s Twitter now." While another one said, "I don't let my cats go out alone because of Shane Dawson."

Another one joked, "Honey you should not post a pic of your cat and mention Shane Dawson in the same tweet." While another one threw light on several other similar "cat" controversies, tweeting, "So Shane Dawson fucks his cats. Azealia Banks cooks her dead cat. And Jaime Lynn Spears runs over hers with a Tesla. What did cats ever do to y’all. #shanedawson"

A user wrote, "I hope when Shane Dawson’s 70, we’re still gonna be reminding him that he fucked his cat." One disgusted person wrote, "i’m sorry but who in the hell “jokes” about cumming on their cats stomach. like just saying that makes me sick i swear y’all give the wrong people platforms : shane dawson"
