'Being comfortable in my own skin': Shania Twain, 57, goes topless in daring photoshoot
Shania Twain presented a very bold side of herself in a recent photoshoot as she chose to wear nothing on the upper part of her body. The 57-year-old’s racy photographs reportedly showed her in heeled boots and a fringed skirt as she covered her chest area with her hands and a cowboy hat.
Another picture, which she posted on her Instagram account too, depicted her wearing the same cowboy hat and boots. But instead of the skirt, she tied a white shirt around her waist. Twain spoke about her new sexy look as reported by The Sun, “I styled that photograph myself. It was all about taking off the bra, taking off the shirt, tying the shirt around my waist. This is a statement of being comfortable in my own skin and just being really myself.”

When the ‘You’re Still the One’ singer was asked if negative comments about her attire affect her, she added, “You have to be strong. I never really get angry with criticism. You can't please everybody, that's normal.”
As per reports, the daring photoshoot was part of her first solo single in half a decade —- ‘Waking Up Dreaming’. Taking to Instagram, she wrote, “Every time I get to announce something like this I get such a rush of adrenaline and nerves - it never gets old... I am super excited to share with you that my new song 'Waking Up Dreaming' is coming out this Friday!! I've spent the last couple years working away on new music... on my documentary... on the Vegas residency and it's been such a creatively fulfilling time for me, I can't wait for this next chapter and Waking Up Dreaming is just the start.”
Twain has also hinted at working on her biopic in the future, The Sun reported. She stated, “All sorts of things are in the pipeline. I’m writing songs all the time and the Netflix documentary ['Not Just A Girl', released in July] has been a huge talking point in my life and career. There’s all sorts of things coming up but things I probably can’t talk about right now. But I’ve got a very busy few years ahead of me.”
Earlier, the ‘From This Moment On’ singer had told CNN, “Every time something brings me down or tries to bring me down, it fuels more determination. I’m feeling stronger than ever now in my life. And, and it feels good.” She also mentioned ‘Waking Up Dreaming’ and noted, “It is a long way from country. It’s high-energy boppy-poppy. In the video, I’m very much playing superstar, I am dressing up. And having a lot of fun with fashion and looks like never before. It’s indulgent for me.”
Meanwhile, Twain’s new look has been appreciated widely with a fan commenting on her Instagram post, “I'm totally freaking out!!!! And you look GORGEOUS!” Another said, “IM HAVING A STROKE I LOVE THIS AND YOU!!! Can’t wait ❤️.” “Oh my gosh your so beautiful congratulations,” a third added.
