Canadian singer-songwriter Shania Twain has some bad news for fans. The artist's 'Let's Go!' Las Vegas residency shows have been postponed till August, albeit a rather necessary move amid the spread of the coronavirus.

The show started on December 6 and has seen massive success already with sold-out shows at the Zappos Theater at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her previous residency concert also had a successful run at Caesars Palace from December 2012 until the end of 2014 and she also performed on her 2015 'Rock This Country Tour' and her 2018 'Now Tour'.

Shania Twain released a statement yesterday, April 11, on Instagram announcing the postponement. "To all my fans," she opens. "My Let's Go! Las Vegas Residency scheduled for May 20 through June 6 at Zappos Theater are no longer able to happen in accordance with CDC recommendations regarding events," she says. "Tickets for affected shows will be refunded at the point of purchase within 30 days," she adds.

She continued, "I'm looking forward to returning to Las Vegas later in the year with my dates from August through to December, but for now it's time to stay home" before concluding her message with "We're all in this together! Love Shania."

In new guidance posted by the CDC, the body has shared some clear instructions for those looking to hold events and mass gatherings with separate guidelines for areas with no spread of COVID-19 along with areas with moderate or minimal spread and areas of substantial spread. Check the full info below:

When there is no spread of COVID-19 in the community:

Encourage staff and attendees to stay home if sick.
Develop flexible refund policies for attendees.
Provide supplies that can be used to help prevent the spread of germs.
Consult local public health officials about your event.
Review considerations on when to cancel an event.

In case of minimal or moderate spread in your community, the CDC has said to "Cancel events for groups of 250 people or more" and "For organizations that serve people who are at higher risk of serious COVID-19 illness, cancel events for groups of 10 people or more" while including links to the President's guidelines to slow the spread of coronavirus and further information on mass gatherings.

In case of substantial spread in your community, the CDC has said, "Cancel events of any size", and included guidance for situations where the coronavirus has been detected at the event, saying, "Separate anyone who has COVID-19 symptoms from others until they can go home. Anyone with symptoms should not take public transportation or shared rides. Contact local public health officials. Communicate with staff and attendees about possible exposure. Clean and disinfect the event space."

According to Billboard, Shania Twain joins the ongoing list of canceled/postponed music events during this year. The past few weeks have included such changes as Tegan and Sara postponing their 'Tonight We're Seeing Colors Tour', Bad Bunny's upcoming San Juan, Puerto Rico, shows have also been rescheduled for October 30 and 31, Niall Horan postponed his world tour while Justin Bieber postponed his 2020 'Changes Tour', among several others.
