The finale episode kickstarts with the big heist carried out by Gal Dove (James McArdle) and Don Logan (Emun Elliott) before delving into their personal relationships.
The finale offers a rollercoaster of shootouts, murders, accidents, and heartbreaks, keeping fans on the edge of their seats. Yet, even with the success of the heist, Gal and Don's lives take unexpected and tumultuous turns.
Gal Dove and Don Logan get a massive reward from Teddy Bass in 'Sexy Beast'
Under the instructions of Roger Riley (Ralph Brown) and Teddy Bass (Stephen Moyer), Gal and Don attempt to steal the Eye of Bombay, a high-value diamond from the highly secured residence of Sir Stephen Eaton (Julian Rhind-Tutt).
Following the successful theft, Gal hands over the diamond to Teddy, anticipating their payment. However, instead of immediate compensation, Teddy promises them a grander reward.
Later, we see Teddy gifting them a high-end club that was previously owned by Dominic McGraw (Peter Ferdinando). Teddy says that the club is a "cash cow" and they can run the place however they want.
Why did Don Logan kill his sister in 'Sexy Beast'?
Returning to his sister Cecilia Logan (Tamsin Greig), Don eagerly shares news of his newfound ownership of the club in Soho.
However, Cecilia's reaction is far from enthusiastic. She had anticipated receiving cash to expand her own business venture and had hoped Don would assist in managing her enterprise rather than taking on the club.
She gets angry and begins hitting Don, asserting her power over him. In a moment of panic, Don pushes her away. Her head hits a metal bucket and she dies on the spot.
Gal Dove is heartbroken in the finale episode of 'Sexy Beast'
After calling off his engagement with Marjorie Kern (Eliza Bennett) and facing backlash from his mother, Gal decides to continue his relationship with Deedee Harrison (Sarah Greene).
However, as he meets her, a sudden acid attack leaves her scarred. Gal rushes her to the hospital where he reassures her about their future together and also informs her about the new club that would generate them enough money.
Despite Gal's support, Deedee, deeply wounded by the hurtful words of his mother, Marjorie, and Alan, chooses to distance herself from Gal's life. Concerned about burdening him with her scars, she insists on parting ways, leaving Gal devastated.
Who gets killed in the last scene of 'Sexy Beast' Episode 8?
In the climax scene, Teddy orders the execution of Roger Riley, his supposed ally, as part of a calculated move to claim the rewards of their joint efforts against Sir Stephen and the McGraws. With this sinister act, Teddy positions himself for complete dominance over the London underworld.
The season concludes with a suspenseful cliffhanger, leaving each character's narrative unresolved. Gal, having chosen not to assume control of the club, poses intriguing questions about what he'll demand from Teddy as compensation.
Meanwhile, Don hasn't informed Gal about Cecilia's death, leaving us curious about how he will manage to conceal the tragic accident.
