Since the inception of ‘Sex Education’, we know that Maeve (Emma Mackey) and Otis (Asa Butterfield) is a match made up in heaven. Even though they came closer because of their knowledge about sex and human anatomy, the duo was always meant to be with each other. But if they end up together so soon, then we’ll miss all the drama. So it’s better that they fight for each other and confess their real feelings about each other.

Like we saw in Season 2, Otis sent Maeve a voicemail in which he apologized for what he did to her and confessed that he still loves her. However, Maeve’s friend Isaac did not let her hear that and deleted the message. During Episode 2 of the latest season, Isaac (George Robinson) finally tells Maeve about the voicemail and she tries talking to Otis, but he is always accompanied by his new girlfriend, Ruby (Mimi Keene).

So, the entire school is going on a trip to know about the French culture and the wars they fought. Ruby is still angry with Otis for not saying “I love you” back to her while Maeve had an argument with Aimee (Aimee Lou Wood) for paying on her behalf for the trip. After a tiring day at the place, they are returning back to the school when the school bus gets into a small accident which prompts the entire school bus to get out.

The matters resolve but unfortunately, Otis and Maeve are left behind. A few moments later, the teachers realize that two students have been left behind and they ask the driver to take a u-turn. Otis and Maeve are stuck at a gas station. Otis is really freaking out and saying that they need to get some help so that they can reach school. However, Maeve is amused after seeing Otis’ reaction.

Maeve finally tells him about the voicemail and says she couldn’t hear it because Isaac deleted it. Otis is a bit upset after listening to it and said that he shouldn’t have deleted it. When she asked, why didn’t he tell him? He said that months passed and she didn’t say anything so he realized that nothing can happen now.

Maeve was curious to know what was on that voicemail, but Otis believes that it doesn’t matter now. To which, Maeve replied, “Matters to me.” Otis finally says that he confessed his love for her in that voicemail and revealed that he will always love her. Maeve gets emotional after hearing this and comes closer to him. They both lean in and kiss each other when Maeve says that she can’t do this because she kissed Isaac a few hours back. But, Maeve could not stop herself and kept on kissing Otis.

Finally, when they break their kiss, the bus arrives and they both get on the bus. Both are happy and said they’ll talk later.

The entire final scene between Maeve and Otis was really touching and showed how much they love each other. To be honest, fans would love to see each other together. We are rooting for Otis and Maeve.
