Fox News host Sean Hannity was caught vaping on camera even as his show came back after a commercial break on Thursday, March 18. The veteran anchor seemed unprepared to face the camera after the last commercial on his show ended and he went live on air.

After Hannity’s graphics cued up and he appeared on screen, he seemed to be in the mood to chill as he was seen wearing reading glasses and had a vape pen in his mouth. He puffed out a mouth full of vapor before one of the staffers whispered “Sean! Sean!” It took a second for Hannity to realize his blunder as he proceeded to remove the vape pen out of his mouth and look directly at the camera. He flashed a sheepish look back at his producer, and as he reinserted his earpiece, he was audibly heard uttering a sharp “Uh oh!”

When his fellow host Laura Ingraham appeared on the segment following his gaffe, she poked fun at Hannity for the mishap. When the split-screen appeared seconds later, Ingraham pretended to be caught unaware too, as she held a glass of water and quipped “Oh, am I on camera?” Then they both had a hearty laugh with Ingraham joking that Fox viewers got a glimpse of “the real Sean Hannity.”

The internet lit up with a range of reactions, most of them taken aback to discover that Hannity vaped. "Did I just see Sean Hannity vaping on air???" one of them said while another remarked, "Sean Hannity was Vaping Just now on TV, He didn't know the Camera came back." A third recalled, "(A year ago tomorrow, Hannity made the bold claim that vaping made you immune to the virus. That... was not true.)" One more said, "And just like that, Sean Hannity cures the teen vaping epidemic. One look at this old douchebag vaping and the kids know it's not cool."

The next quipped, "Sean Hamburg realizing he was caught vaping is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen." One more said, "Sean Hannity got caught Vaping on National Television. Brilliant." A commenter tweeted, "Sean Hannity getting caught vaping on his show is f**king hilarious." One more commented, "Hey look. Me and Hannity are both getting high right now." Another pointed out, "Vaping whatever substance he is using is between Sean Hannity and his fan base. It would be nice if he came out for equal and fair justice for people that he excoriates for minor drug crimes, though." A person reacted with, "We would like to comment on @seanhannity getting caught vaping during a commercial break. We know for a FACT it must have been a tobacco vaporizer - he's too much of a douche-bag to use cannabis. #HannityVape."

Earlier this month CNN's Brian Stelter was mocked for filming himself without pants while hosting a TV show from home in the bid to "humanize" the news. Although the light-hearted segment aimed to capture the "ups and downs" of TV personalities working from in-home studios during the coronavirus pandemic it ended up rubbing most of the people the wrong way. Stelter insisted that "embarrassing moments are humanizing moments," as he highlighted a viral clip from last April of ABC News correspondent Will Reeve appearing on 'Good Morning America' without pants. According to Stelter, Reeve was perhaps "too revealing."

He then mentioned that he could "relate" to Reeve before showing a clip of himself pantless during a CNN appearance. The clip of a pantless Stelter was reportedly shot on the night former President Donald Trump was banned from Twitter in January. "This was me live on CNN with just two minutes notice talking to Wolf Blitzer about Trump's Twitter account being banned," Stelter told viewers as he tried to explain his bare thighs and calves.
