'SEAL Team' Season 3: 'Jandy' shippers are not wrong in saying Jason should be with Mandy instead of his therapist Natalie

While Natalie's entry in Jason's life is a fresh start to revive his energy and bring a change to his life, not all fans are happy with the latest development.

Relationships and personal dynamics are coming into the spotlight with Season 3 of 'SEAL Team' and Jason Hayes (David Boreanaz) seems to have a budding connection with his therapist Natalie Pierce (Emily Swallow). In the last episode, Jason finally let out his bottled feelings and it was Natalie who lent all her support. While it is a fresh start for Jason to revive his energy and bring a change to his life, not all fans are happy with the latest development.

Hard-core followers of the military action drama feel Jason should be with Mandy (Jessica Paré) instead of Natalie. "Seriously guys! Fix this Mandy thing ASAP! We want Mandy back. These five-minute cameos aren’t working. Jason & Mandy had a connection. She was part of the team. And he just asked her to go on a trip! Why in the world did you write that in and switch to this?" one viewer posted on Twitter.

Shipping Mandy with Jason seems like a valid point since Natalie is simply his therapist and it is better for her to not get involved in a relationship with her patient. On the other hand, Mandy and Jason have known each other and worked together for years and if the writers give them a chance, the two would perfectly fit together.

A couple of episodes ago, Jason asked Mandy if she would accompany him on a road trip and while she didn't say yes immediately, there was scope for the two to hit it off while on a trip. Referring to Jason's invitation from Episode 7, another viewer said, "Uhhh didn’t he just ask Mandy out to Virginia Beach just a few weeks ago? You guys put that out there and then switched to a thing with Natalie?? Why did he ask Mandy to go with him on a road trip? I thought that meant the start of something. I’m so confused right now."

The two have always had a close bond and fans have wished to see them together since forever. With Natalie's entry into Jason's world, things are only getting more complicated and that seems to have irked many. "#SEALTeam I just hate how they have teased Jason and Mandy from season 1, yet have very little with it. I've wanted them since the beginning I like their chemistry but if they aren't going to play it and work with it let it go," said a fan.

Many fans came to defend how Mandy and Natalie are both important in Jason's life. "Mandy and Natalie can coexist in Jason's world, its not a competition guys, #relax Do I want Mandy to have more of a presence, yes I do, but there has been a restructure at HAVOC. And that has nothing to do with Natalie," one viewer posted and another said, "Mandy & Natalie are very different people who are bringing different things to Jason's life. I like both. It's not a competition. Actually just take a minute to think how great it is that Jason has two smart, independent, kick-ass women in his life."

Others spoke about how "Natalie is a breath of fresh air" and "brings out Jason's fun side." One fan hoped that "Natalie would steer Jason towards realizing his feelings for Mandy (sorta like in a kinda way)."

Another posted, saying, "Mandy has her own life, her own job, she is her own person, she can't be hanging around VB helping Jason whenever he needs her. Come on. She is a CIA agent. Not his caregiver. Natalie is what Jason needs right now. I am happy for him."

As the next episode of 'SEAL Team' airs on December 11, it will be interesting to see how Natalie shapes Jason's life and whether Mandy enters his personal space.
