'Saturday Night Live' did not hesitate to bring in the feud between Donald Trump and Greta Thunberg into the picture in this weeks' cold open segment.

President Donald Trump and Greta Thunberg's feud received just more than a mention on 'Saturday Night Live'. In this week's episode, during their cold open segment, the show decided to settle for a subtle but powerful dig at the state of affairs around the world. The SNL sketch highlighted the lives of different families who sat down for dinner and discussed their thoughts on how the world was changing.

The first family consisted of Melissa Villasenor, Cecily Strong, Bowen Yang and Kyle Mooney who had a discussion about whom they should vote for. They highlighted that Trump had been given a lot of freedom in terms of his actions and if Barack Obama had been in his place he would have probably been in jail.

However, they were contradicted by another family that was portrayed by Chloe Fineman, Beck Bennett, Heidi Gardner and Mikey Day. They wondered how someone could think about voting for anyone else other than Trump. Meanwhile, the third family was more focused on discussing things like the 'The Masked Singer' and others. Despite this, one thing that was common among the three families was the discussion about things like Trump and Obama governments, voting rights, and more politics.

The skit ended with everyone being thankful for what they have in life. But the thunder was stolen by Aidy Bryant as Sam the Snowman as she highlighted that the families had another thing in common and that was their voting preference that would hold no value when the time comes.

“They’ll debate the issues all year long, but then it all comes down to 1,000 people in Wisconsin who won’t even think about the election until the morning of. And that’s the magic of the electoral college,” she said. Towards the end, viewers got to see Kate McKinnon as Greta Thunberg who walked in to remind people about climate change and how 10 years from now all the ice will melt.

She also delivered a message to Trump as she stated, "The ice caps will melt, and the elves will drown. So Merry may be our last Christmas to all, and Donald Trump, step to me and I’ll come at you as a plastic straw comes at a turtle. I can’t believe I’m saying this to a 70-year-old man, but grow up.”
