A woman from San Francisco, California was recently filmed unleashing a vile racist rant against a man, calling him a "nasty Mexican dog." A video of the incident, taken by the victim on his cellphone camera, shows the woman screaming racial slurs at him as he was heading towards his car along Geneva Ave and Carter St. The woman, who has not yet been identified, was dubbed a "Karen" by social media, which claimed that the victim had called her out for verbally attacking a Latino dog walker. She, however, proceeded to abuse the victim too. 'Karen' is a popular moniker designated to racist and entitled White women.

The clip shared on social media shows a woman repeatedly calling the man "a nasty Mexican dog" and follows him along the pavement. He asks her: "Why are you following me?" To which she replies with: "I'm not following you, you're following me, dog. You're following me, dog!"

The victim then can be heard saying in the video: "God bless you, lady, God bless you. Jesus loves you. God bless you." She, instead, starts shouting racial slurs, saying: "F*** off! Don't talk to me about Jesus, I don't want to talk to you. You started talking to me nasty dog. You started talking to me nasty dog. Mexican nasty turd-colored dog." The man then asks the woman to calm down, saying: "Calm down lady, have a nice day. God bless you, God bless you."

The video of the incident was uploaded on Twitter by the victim's girlfriend on Monday, August 17. She wrote: "BAY AREA- My boyfriend was walking to his car when he witnessed a woman in his neighborhood yelling racial slurs at a Latino man walking his dog. My bf called her to stop and proceeded to walk to his car. She was waiting for him up the hill and started to attack him verbally."

The video, which has since gone viral, horrified social media users as one commented on the clip, writing: "Who are these people? It's like they're hatching from pods or some such s***." While another said: "God Bless that guy for rising above her hatefulness. I'm so incredibly sorry he had to hear that, but what a class act he was."

Amid rising reports of racially discriminatory 911 calls being made targeting Black people across the country, the 'CAREN Act', or the Caution Against Racially Exploitative Non-Emergencies Act, was introduced by a San Francisco official last month. The particular act was introduced as an ordinance and seeks to impose fines on anyone making false and discriminatory emergency reports in the region.

The CAREN Act was introduced by San Francisco Supervisor Shamann Walton and is homophonous with 'Karen.' "Central Park Karen" is a recent high-profile example referring to Amy Cooper, a White woman who called the police on a Black man after he asked her to keep her dog leashed in Central Park. Amy Cooper, an investment banker, who was later fired over the incident, made a phone call feigning being threatened by the Black man who was birdwatching in the park. She was charged on July 6, for falsely reporting an incident in the third degree. The charges against her, however, do not account for any racial bias.
