Who is Ryan? 'Married at First Sight' star wants to be 'young dad'
Starting a family is Ryan's main agenda, seeing that he wants to play an active role in his kids' lives
The couples on 'Married at First Sight' have often found themselves in a range of relationships but none of them have been able to settle down. Thankfully, that's where the experts come in.
While the experts do match the couples based on compatibility, there is only so much that can be considered when it comes to things like futures and families. While those aspects can be planned, it can be a dynamic situation too. Fans saw it last season – while Virginia Coombs and Erik Lake looked oh so in love, they could not agree about having kids. On the other hand, past alumni have started families together and seem more than happy with their lives. In season 13, it looks like baby fever has kicked in yet again, and this time, it's with a particular contestant named Ryan.
Who is Ryan?
Ryan, 35, grew up in small town in Texas, surrounded by friends and family, seeing that they all lived within walking distance of each other. Now, Ryan is ready to start his own family, seeing that he finds himself under a lot of pressure to find the right woman to do so.
Ryan's goal is to be a young and active father -- he wants to be a hands-on dad. He dreams of being able to coach his son's baseball team or fight off his daughter's potential suitors.
What is Ryan looking for in his future wife?
When it comes to finding the right woman, Ryan is looking for someone who is athletic, caring and understanding. Ryan has a bit of a history of being a serial dater, seeing that he's had his fair share of relationships but hasn't managed to settle down. As per the experts, his real issue thus far has been that he most pursues women based on their looks instead of what lies beneath. With his partner, Brett, she is a teacher and a volleyball coach who wants a family herself. The experts believe that their core desires match; hence, the couple might just prove to be a good match. Ryan's friends have also vouched for him, stating that he will be a loving husband. But only time will tell.
'Married at First Sight' Season 13 premieres with a three-hour episode on July 21 at 8 pm ET/PT on Lifetime.
