Rosie O'Donnell predicts voters will rise to the occasion and hand Trump a ‘landslide’ defeat

Actress Rosie O'Donnell has now predicted that voters will "rise to the occasion" come November and vote Donald Trump out of office in a landslide.

During an appearance on Marc Maron’s podcast that aired on Monday, O'Donnell was asked what she thought about this year's election, Breitbart reported.

“I think November we’re gonna be a landslide and take him out, that’s what I have to believe,” she said. “I firmly believe that the heart of the nation is bigger than his mental illness and people will rise to the occasion and vote him out. That’s what I hope.”

O'Donnell also opened up about the two times she met Trump, and said 'The Apprentice' producer Mark Burnett was personally responsible for the real estate mogul's rise to power.

“I met him once, twice, once at his wedding, because when he was marrying Marla Maples, we had shared a mutual leading man,” she said. “And then I met him once at the celebrity, I mean at the ‘Survivor’ finale. I was the host of the ‘Survivor’ finale and he was in talking terms with Mark Burnett to see about doing 'The Apprentice'.”

O'Donnell said she blames Burnett “for the vast majority of the problems” America is facing, considering his influence. According to her, she had warned him about the dangers of giving Trump such a platform.

“I feel Mark Burnett is directly, personally responsible,” the 'SMILF' star said. “He was very kind and a great guy and I really liked him and then he did this ‘Apprentice.’ And I kept saying to him, ‘What the hell are you doing? What are you putting up this guy as Mr. [Successful]?'”

This is barely the first time the comedienne has come out with bold predictions about the president. O'Donnell stated last year that she believed Trump would be arrested even before the 2020 election took place.

“I think he’ll be arrested,” O’Donnell said at the time. “I believe in America and I believe in our political system and I believe we will right the wrong of the tyranny of Donald Trump.”

At the turn of the new decade, O’Donnell joined various celebrities in slamming Trump on Twitter and wishing for a year that “doesn’t include an ignorant corrupt soulless liar occupying the People’s House.”

"HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL #2020removeHIM," she wrote at the time. Meanwhile, director Michael Moore, who endorsed Sen. Bernie  Sanders (I-VT) for the 2020 presidential elections declared that America, this year, will "dump Trump."

“Happy New Year and new decade everyone! It can only get better! This is [the] year we dump Trump and send a true advocate to the White House with a mass movement behind him/her,” he tweeted, adding, "We’ll win the Senate flipping just three seats. Kindness will reign. Men will listen instead of fake listen. Pie!”

Among other prominent names who railed against the president at the time were Jim Carrey, Bette Midler, Rob Reiner, Bradley Whitford and Rosanna Arquette.
