Sex toys, since Joseph Mortimer Granville patented an electromechanical vibrator in the early 1880s to relieve muscle aches, have seen a meteoric transformation. They come in all shapes and sizes and have become more technologically advanced. But some of them are just plain weird-looking. A case in point is the current best-selling sex toy on Amazon that is being called the “Rose Vibrator” because it looks like a rosebud.

The seller's page for the sex toy on Amazon is created by a company called Adorime. Their sex toy might be called the "Rose Vibrator" in popular parlance but its real name is a lot longer. As per the description, it is actually the "Sucking Vibrator for Women with 7 Intense Suction, Adorime Rechargeable Clit Sucker Nipple Stimulator Sex Toys for Women for Sex, Rose Vibrator." It also has a mouthful of features to boot, apparently. The sex toy's rotating airflow generated by the internal vibration supposedly "sucks and teases the clitoris". The product description promises the gadget will simulate "perfect oral sex" because with "just one click, you can enjoy incredible sexual pleasure and step to the paradise of orgasm.”

For once, a product might actually be delivering what it promises. On social media, this thing has developed quite a reputation. “I finally got my rose vibrator today & wheww that thing is the truth,” wrote a Twitter user. Another user said, “That rose vibrator y’all was on here talking about? Yes. That’s all.” One Twitter user said, “The rose is definitely fire but it’s not a toy I would use every day. To be honest I wouldn’t use any vibrator every day.”

Even the comments on the Amazon page from users lavish praise on the vibrator, with one user calling it a “soul snatcher”. A user named Crystal said, “I saw the sun, the moon, the mountains and the rivers, I saw heaven when i made sweet love with The Rose lol and this ain’t not lie!” Another user called Mooca wrote, “I can honestly say this Rose has made me Contemplate life, look at things differently,” adding that she had already ordered a second one just in case “something happens with this one”.

One user called Rachel wrote, “I can not even put into words like I want to how this made me feel. I’ve never in my life been able to have a orgasm I’ve been to doctors I’ve had surgery I thought it would never happen. I didn’t have high hopes but I gave it a try anyways and I thank god I did because now I couldn’t live without the thing it has really and will change my life.”

Suffice to say, even if the thing looks weird and sounds odd, it has had enormous success. So much so that other brands are also selling similar-looking and sounding products! Unfortunately, the product -- thanks to its viral popularity -- seemed to be out of stock at the time of writing this. But one can be certain that the Internet will hear more about this. And no doubt, there will be weirder-looking sex toys in the days to come.
