MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: In what comes as a disturbing piece of news, the NYPD charged two men with murder after the body of a homeless teen was found wrapped in plastic at an abandoned fish market in New York City. The 19-year-old was identified as Rosalee Sanchez and was found non-responsive on Saturday, March 6. According to reports, the person who found her inside a vacant warehouse called 911.
Austin Boehm, 25, and Christian Mercado, 20, were arrested the following day and charged with second-degree murder. Details about the case have been scanty during the ongoing investigation. Police have said the medical examiner will determine the cause of death. They also added that neither the suspect nor the victim have listed home addresses. The woman may have been dead for several days before her body was found, reported Daily Mail.

No picture has been released by the police for the dead 19-year-old. What is known, however, was that she was found dead at 95 South St. in downtown Manhattan. Boehm confessed to killing Sanchez after he attempted to check into a psychiatric ward at the Bellevue Hospital, according to a report by the Daily Mail.
The site also added that the 911 caller said, his friend, going by the name "Zozo" took him to the scene of the crime, showed the body, and named Boehm as the killer. Earlier reports suggest the woman's boyfriend and a friend called 911 when they found the body.
The report also added that the connection between the suspects and the 911 callers was unclear and it wasn't clear if the suspects were the callers. According to the New York Daily News, the arrested men have been non-cooperative.
NY Daily News also highlighted that a fresh pool of blood was seen in the adjacent room after finding Sanchez's body. As per the New York Post, the boyfriend said she was led to the warehouse weeks ago, but this information couldn't be verified to be true by the police. Multiple reports said the boyfriend was not considered to be a suspect.
The Post also added that locals have spoken of homeless people who have taken over the building after it was relocated.
