BULLHEAD CITY, ARIZONA: Marilyn Kepler, 74, was accused of attacking her unnamed boyfriend at their Bullhead home in Arizona. Reports added she "beat her lover over the head with a hammer for 'leaving the TV on' and put bleach in his coffee in an attempt to poison him."

The U.S. Sun also added she threatened her boyfriend with a gun while she drove him to the hospital to get his injuries looked at after being hit by the hammer. Kepler was eventually arrested and it was reported she was upset with her boyfriend for leaving the TV on and she couldn't sleep. On his part, the victim said she was regularly abusive towards him verbally. He also added Kepler had poured Clorox in his coffee, although there was no evidence since the pot had been cleaned.

As per a Mohave Valley Daily report, Kepler was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault and domestic violence and was being booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility in Kingman. Emily Fromelt, from Bullhead City Police, said: "(The victim) told medical staff that he woke up to Kepler hitting him in the head with a weapon at their residence in Bullhead City. The victim reported he was able to wrestle the gun away and get out of the vehicle. Kepler then drove away."

“She (Kepler) explained that she was upset with her boyfriend because he had left the television on during the night and she couldn’t sleep,” Fromelt explained. Kepler told police the noise was the latest in a series of relationship issues the couple was having. This wasn't the first time Kepler and her boyfriend were reported. They were involved in another domestic violence incident last year. Police handled another domestic violence incident involving the couple last March.

At that time, Kepler had reportedly told the cops her boyfriend had yelled at her and thrown her to the ground. Fromelt said the 74-year-old wasn’t injured and didn’t want to press charges. She just wanted the man removed from the residence. The news of Kepler's arrest comes after a similar incident occurred when a man in Florida allegedly beat his girlfriend for changing the channel when he was watching the Super Bowl LV. Thomas Lamar White, 55, was charged with felony battery. Such was the attack that her injuries included cuts on her face and chin along with a bloody nose, a swollen wrist, and hand, according to Newsweek.

The report also added that White told deputies he had punched the woman in self-defense after she slapped him. No visible injuries were found on the man. White was booked into the Alachua County Jail and also has a prior felony conviction for battery on a pregnant woman.
