TRIBECA, NEW YORK: A shocking lawsuit has claimed a high-powered entertainment lawyer raped a rising reality TV star and took her virginity after plying her with cocaine in his Tribeca apartment. 'Rich Girls' star Jaime Gleicher sued attorney Roger Haber in Manhattan federal court this week. She has accused him of sexually assaulting her after telling her he could help her career in 2004.

Gleicher, 37, is suing Haber under the Adult Survivors Act, claiming she was only 19 years old when she first met him at downtown hot spot Butter. At the time, she knew he had represented some of her friends in the entertainment industry.

Haber allegedly invited Gleicher and her friends to his apartment and offered them cocaine, court filings claimed. The lawsuit states that Gleicher felt pressured to do the drugs “in large part because she perceived that Mr Haber could wield enormous influence over her career."

Court papers allege Gleicher was left alone with Haber after her friends left. Haber then pressured her into kissing him and removing her shirt. She became self-conscious and asked Haber to give her a blanket she could cover herself with and “explicitly” told Haber that she was not going to have sex with him, New York Post reported. She accompanied the attorney to the bedroom to get a blanket, where she again allegedly reiterated she would not have sex.

“At the time, Ms Gleicher had never had sexual intercourse,” the lawsuit states. “As discussed on national television in ‘Rich Girls’ in an episode concerning Ms Gleicher’s prom night, Ms Gleicher was waiting to have sexual intercourse for the first time with someone with whom she was in a serious romantic relationship.”

The lawsuit further claimed that Gleicher went to bed assuming Haber understood her ultimatum. However, she allegedly woke up to Haber on top of her and raping her. She claimed that she begged Haber to stop and was finally able to escape and lock herself inside a bathroom.

Who is Roger Haber?

Roger Haber has repped people like James Gandolfini and Fred Gwynne, and former Miss America Cara Mund. His Twitter bio states, "New Yorker living in LA Married to the greatest woman ever. Proud dad of all my 5 kids." He reportedly heads Artists Financial Management, a company that advises students, performers and other creative professionals in West Hollywood.

As Gleicher tried to leave the apartment, Haber allegedly stopped her and told her “you don’t get to leave until you finish me off”. He then sexually assaulted her again, the lawsuit states. Gleicher eventually went home and then headed to Mount Sinai West with her mother, where she was examined. DNA evidence was taken and she told a psychiatrist about the alleged sexual assault.

At the time, she refused to report the incident to the police. “Ultimately, Ms Gleicher elected not to engage law enforcement. … She was terrified that she would forever be identified and shamed as a victim of rape and that her writing career would be ruined as a result,” the lawsuit states.

The lawsuit further added that Haber later called her and said he wanted to “check in” and she has not seen him since. “She also understood that Mr Haber wielded significant influence in the entertainment industry that she was hoping to enter and thus chose the path of silence for many years,” the lawsuit said.

Gleicher was reportedly left traumatized after the assault and battled drug addiction and eating disorders. She even had to undergo several rehab programs. She works as a social worker and therapist in New York currently.

Meanwhile, Haber’s attorney Carrie Cohen said, "Mr Haber categorically denies the baseless allegations in the complaint and looks forward to the actual facts coming to light in the litigation."
