The press release added, “When officers arrived, they located an adult female who was suffering from apparent stab wounds to her upper body. Multiple witnesses on scene were holding an adult male suspect.” The local media reported that the heinous attack was carried out in front of family members from both sides. Castillo’s sister informed police that she hosts the study group at the home on Tuesday nights and both victim and suspect reached together and sat on the couch, WCCO reported.

'8-time felony convict'

According to the report, Castillo apparently whispered something into Woodhull’s ear before taking out a knife and stabbing her multiple times. Castillo was then tackled down by family members and disarmed. As per the suspect’s brother, the couple was going through marital issues. “Don’t let me die,” one of the witnesses remembered Woodhull saying, before she lost consciousness, according to a Kansas City Star report.
