'Dr Pimple Popper': Robert's 'bum boob' makes him cranky, can Dr Lee help him?
When Season 6 of 'Dr Pimple Popper' was announced, Dr Sandra Lee declared that she would be tackling some of the biggest and most challenging cases that she had ever seen. True to her word, Dr Lee tackled some of the most unique skin conditions ranging from Robert's extensive case of rhinophyma to Brittany's neurofibromatosis that made her look like a 'monster'.
'Dr Pimple Popper' returns for yet another new episode with new patients and their unique skin conditions. The recently aired Episode 8 titled 'Brain Pimple' featured an older gentleman named Robert turning to Dr Lee for help with a growth on his butt, that he nicknamed as 'bum boob'. Ahead of his meeting with Dr Lee, Robert explains that he recently retired after working for 35 years. Just like everybody Robert too was looking forward to enjoying his golden years after his retirement. He just wanted to sit back and enjoy the rest of his life, but unfortunately, the growth on his butt cheek was getting in the way of having fun post-retirement.
He jokingly referred to the growth as his 'bum boob' as it resembled a small breast. When Robert finally met Dr Lee he told her that he first noticed the growth on his butt about 25 years ago. He went to see a doctor, who reportedly sliced it open and drained some fluid from it. Dr Lee was shocked on hearing that the doctor collected a pint of fluid after cutting open the growth. Although Robert admitted that he doesn't recollect the doctor explaining or telling him anything about his condition, he however described that the fluid that came out of it was pus-like and gloopy.
In order to break the ice and make Robert feel more at ease, Dr Lee jokingly asked him if he was sure he wanted to get rid of his 'bum boob'. Robert said he was 100% sure he wanted it gone. He then shared how the growth was making him very cranky and unpleasant to be around. Since he was spending a lot more time at home post-retirement, he was wanted to be more helpful and pleasant to be around, especially to his wife, but the growth was getting in the way.
Before proceeding to chalk out his diagnosis and treatment plan Dr Lee asked him if he had any previous medical history. Robert revealed that he had quadruple bypass surgery a year ago and that he was on blood thinners. He however added that he recently stopped taking his medicines ten days ago. Dr Lee immediately became a bit concerned as the numbing cream that she used on her patients could potentially hamper his heart functioning and was worried about it Hopefully Dr Lee can help Robert reclaim his golden years.
