A$AP Rocky OUT on bond after arrest at LA airport in connection with 2021 shooting
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A$AP Rocky was released on bond after arrest at LAX airport on Wednesday, April 20, in connection with a 2021 shooting. The rapper, 33, had only just returned from a vacation in Barbados, where his pregnant girlfriend Rihanna had joined him.
Rocky, whose actual name is Rakim Mayers, had been under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department. However, reports claim that this information had not been made public. The shooting incident is believed to have taken place on November 6 between Vista Del Mar and Selma Ave. A person who survived a gunshot told authorities that Rocky approached him with a pistol along with two other people. He accused Rocky of firing at him up to four times. One of the rounds grazed the victim's left hand. He then allegedly fled the scene on foot with the two other men. The incident stemmed from an argument between “two acquaintances," cops said.

Police also reportedly executed a search warrant at the 'Praise the Lord' rapper's Los Angeles home. They entered the property using a battering ram and apparently left with a box of potential evidence. Rocky reportedly posted $550,000 bail after getting arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. He was later released from LAPD headquarters and taken away in an SUV, TMZ reported.
This arrest comes in the midst of a rumored cheating scandal. Recently, a pregnant Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were rumored to have broken up after she apparently realized the rapper was cheating on her. The rumors began trending on Twitter and soon spread across social media, catching the attention of fans. These, however, were found not to be true. Subsequently, the rumor ‘preacher’ Louis Pisano was widely criticized, prompting her to issue an apology.
Louis Pisano apologized after tweeting that A$AP was "caught cheating" on Rihanna with shoe designer Amina Muaddi. Pisano, a fashion commentator, writer, racial justice and LGBTQ+ advocate, has featured in Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan and is a member of Black Lives Matter.
On April 15, 2022, Pisano tweeted, "Last night I made a dumb decision to tweet some information I had received," adding, "I'm not going to talk about sources or blame others for a debate that started because, at the end of the day, I made the decision to draft that tweet, press send, and put it out with my name on it." They continued, “I’d like to formally apologize to all parties I involved with my actions and for my reckless tweets.”
"Rihanna broke up with [ASAP] after she caught him cheating with shoe designer Amina Muaddi," Pisano stated in a since-deleted tweet on Thursday April 14, 2022 sparking rumors that Rocky and Rihanna had broken up. "Amina designed Fenty's footwear line, and Rihanna is frequently seen wearing custom shoes from her own label," they claimed. As the false claims sparked outrage on social media, Muaddi was quick to take to Instagram and reject the allegations.
