'RHOSLC': Duy Tran wants more kids to 'replenish earth', fans call it 'spousal abuse'

Jennie Nguyen and her husband Duy Tran might be the newest addition to 'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City', but the couple isn't holding back from giving the world a peek into their marital issues. The new housewife decided to make a huge career switch when she sold all of her businesses and decided to become a stay-at-home mom to look after their three kids. Jennie explained in an earlier episode that she didn't want to lose out on spending time with her kids while they're growing up.

Duy who is a chiropractor by profession was beyond thrilled with his wife's decision. Jennie's decision to be a stay-at-home mom came with few undesirable consequences. Watching Jennie have so much time on her hands, Duy began mulling over the idea of having more kids. He told his wife that he wanted to have more kids, but Jennie wasn't on board with his plan. The housewife got very emotional when explaining why she didn't want to have any more kids. Aside from the fact that she wasn't keen on running around a toddler and changing a diaper in her 50s, the housewife also revealed that she had nine miscarriages and one stillbirth, which left her pretty traumatized.

The recently aired episode featured Duy and Jennie once again discussing having more kids. When Jennie said she didn't want to have any more kids, Duy began suggesting surrogacy or adoption as an option to expand their family after he sensed her hesitation to get pregnant. Watching Duy's insistence to have more kids, Jennie asked him why he was so desperate to have more children as they already have three healthy children at home. Duy replied saying he wanted to "replenish the earth" as there are too many bad people in the world, and he wanted to bring in more good people.

When fans heard Duy's reasoning for wanting more kids they were both amused and angry. A fan tweeted, "#RHOSLC; I’m sorry, did he just “to replenish this earth…” bro, there are already too many people on this planet.." "Replenish the earth??? Shut up you selfish, misogynistic creepy man. Jennie, your body, your choice. Do not for one second have this arrogant man make you feel inadequate or pressured to give you more children for his ego. Sickening! #RHOSLC," wrote a fan. Another fan added, "WTH!! He wants to replenish the world what is wrong with this guy he is selfish and heartless #RHOSLC."

After watching Jennie's reluctance to expanding their family, Duy went a step further and suggested bringing in a sister wife. Both Jennie and fans were triggered by Duy's selfish and inconsiderate suggestion and called him out for it. A fan shared, "He’s a doctor, she’s had TEN miscarriages and he harassing her to “replenish this earth” this man can’t be this selfish #RHOSLC." "This is spousal abuse & quite honestly hard to watch! #RHOSLC," expressed a fan. "I’m gonna need Duy to drop the “I want more kids” storyline for the sake of his marriage and also his ranking among the worst husbands in the Housewives Cinematic Universe #RHOSLC," declared a fan.
