'Real Housewives of Dallas': Do D'Andra Simmons, Kary Brittingham really regret bullying LeeAnne Locken?

D'Andra Simmons, Kary Brittingham seem to have learnt from their mistakes. They obliquely hinted that they should've stopped with their jibes about the dress sooner.

May not have been the best start to a vacation, but an interesting one for sure. 'Real Housewives of Dallas' stars D'Andra Simmons and Kary Brittingham found themselves in the crosshairs of fans, who thought they went a bit too far with the dress prank against LeeAnne Locken.

However, the two cast members seem to have learned from their mistakes and vaguely hinted that they should've stopped with their banter about the dress sooner. "Yes I agree I didn’t have to say it over and over. I was really annoyed with her but it was not right," Brittingham replied to a fan who thought the joke was an overkill and asked her to grow up. Meanwhile, Simmons apologized to a user who stated the former was justifying bad behavior.

For those are who new to #RHOD, here's a little back story.

The housewives were criticized heavily for taking incessant digs at Locken and the dress from her label, which Simmons wore to the group dinner (in Thailand). Both Simmons and Brittingham were slyly mocking the dress when it got too much and Locken left the table in rage. While some thought it was outright nasty and disturbing, pulling someone down this bad, others said they would've been okay with the joke if Simmons and Brittingham could have been subtle with their jibes.

"DAnger and Kary are the worst display of women empowerment I've ever seen on HWives. Women of privilege trying to keep the less wealthy down. I'm very sorry @LeeAnneLocken #RHOD," @RealityTVBliss tweeted.

Another fan thought that trying to pass off defamatory remarks as a joke was completely uncalled for and an extremely insincere move on their part. "Just own it. You meant to be mean and defamatory to and about @LeeAnneLocken Trying to spin it as a joke is disingenuous. Personally I think you knew it would hurt LeeAnne and you were fueled by @karybrittingham," @drtbkwidow513 posted.

Everyone is entitled to their version of the truth, but let's not forget there are lines that are best left uncrossed.
