Emily and Shane Simpson's marriage and dynamics was a nightmare to watch on Season 14 of 'RHOC'. In fact, Shane was so awful to his wife Emily, that he has earned the title of "worst husband" on 'Real Housewives' franchise. Considering the initial few episodes focussed so much around Shane's indifferent attitude towards Emily and how poorly he treated her, it was only fair that he be given a platform to share his side of the story during the reunion.

And when Shane began speaking up, everybody was left feeling shocked and surprised because he was being extremely cordial and nice to his wife.

During the reunion, Andy asked Shane several pressing questions about his marriage. Shane answered them all patiently and was being extremely loving and supportive of Emily. He kept singing praises of his wife and complimenting her often. Fans were thoroughly surprised to see this side of Shane, who is so pleasant and kind to his wonderful wife.

A fan tweeted, "#RHOC Wow! Watching reunion part 3 and I am shocked by how pleasant Shane is. I’m wondering if maybe he hasn’t gotten a bad rap. I was surprised at how positive he was about Emily. Where has that guy been?" Another fan commented, "I don’t know how to feel about Shane ending up not being a complete and total DBag.😳😳😳 #RHOC".

"I am loving Shane on this reunion! Never thought I'd say that. #RHOC", expressed a surprised fan.

Another fan wrote, "Is this really Shane??? I like Shane! @RealOCEmily give him a break sistahh! #rhoc".

"@BravoTV I like this side of Shane, I'm with the other Girls... it would of been nice 2C this side. Shane is being so sweet #RHOC sometimes it only shows one side, I don't like that 🍊 not for a story line or anything else. Good Luck U2!", expressed a fan.

The reunion managed to break all our pre-existing notions about Shane and Emily, when Shane talked about a side of Emily which viewers have never seen on TV. He says Emily has temper issues and doesn't know how to "compartmentalize" issues and ends up lashing out at everybody. Kelly and Gina ended up backing him, and even Emily accepted it.
