‘Real Housewives of Orange County’: Fans call Shannon a 'drama queen' for making a 'huge deal' about her injury
Shannon Beador, the hypochondriac housewife of ‘RHOC’ made a huge fuss about Kelly Dodd tapping the bowl over her head with a mallet. The previous episode saw her being rushed to the emergency ward after she complained of blurry vision. At the hospital, we see a nurse asking her if she wants to press charges against Kelly for assault. This week’s episode, episode 8, which aired on September 24, continued the bowl-mallet drama.
As we expected earlier, Shannon did not press charges against Kelly. She underwent a CT scan and got a clean chit. The report came back stating that she has a concussion, but our hypochondriac housewife quickly corrects Tamra who is reading out the report by stating that the doctor informed that she has “a level of concussion”. She is now concerned about what level of the concussion she might be having.
Then as the duo were heading back from the hospital to their villa Kelly calls them, she blasted Shannon for just creating drama and lashed out at Tamra for enabling Shannon’s behavior. The ladies took great offense at Kelly’s tone and the allegations made against them. They then invited Kelly over to their room the next day to confront her about her aggression. Kelly immediately called her plastic-surgeon boyfriend and asked him about the concussion, and she learned that one can not be drinking alcohol if they are experiencing concussion, and our dear housewife Shannon has been downing tequila and margarita like there is no tomorrow.
During the epic showdown between the trio, Kelly pointed out to Shannon that she shouldn’t be drinking if she has a concussion. Unperturbed Shannon tried to bully Kelly by guilting her about her aggressive behavior, but Kelly stood her ground because she feels that she hasn’t made any mistake.
Watching all this drama take place fans appear to be taking Kelly’s side, as they too feel that Shannon was overreacting and making a mountain out of a molehill about the tap on her head. A fan wrote, “Have none of these women ever whacked their head on a cabinet door before? Like Kelly did not hit anyone that hard. No need to go to the ER or even consider PRESSING CHARGES. People have real head injuries, Shannon #RHOC”.
Several fans pointed out Shannon’s error of consuming alcohol while claiming to have a concussion. A fan tweeted, “So Shannon is Sooo concerned her "brain fluid is leaking " that when the dr says she is fine she gets drunk af ?!? Yeah sure, that makes sense Drama queen Shannon of seasons past rears her crying head #RHOC”. A fan who appears to have had enough of Shannon’s drama shared, “At this point I’d like to wake Shannon with a mallet. Smdh. Stfu ya damn hypochondriac #RHOC”.
