'RHOA' Season 14: Is the 'shift' in Sanya and Kenya's relationship due to Marlo Hampton?
MONTEGO BAY, JAMAICA: During the August 14 episode of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta,' Sheree Whitfield and Kenya Moore were unimpressed with Sanya Richards-Ross' hosting skills in Jamaica. In the upcoming episode, Sanya attempts to mend her relationship with Sheree, while also assessing what went wrong with her friendship with Kenya.
Viewers have seen the co-stars frequently engage each other in confrontations over the last few weeks. While they were arguing last week, Sanya's husband, Aaron Ross, decided to speak out for his wife. Kenya and Sanya got into a furious altercation in Episode 14 of 'RHOA,' dubbed 'Montego Baes,' when the latter did not answer the former's calls. Everything started on the day of Sanya's iFit shoot. Kenya has expressed an interest in attending the shoot. Sanya had told Sheree and Kenya the day before that they needed to depart by 9.30 am if they wanted to accompany her.

The next day, Sheree and Kenya both claimed to be on time, but Sanya provided no further information. When Kenya attempted to contact Sanya, the 'RHOA' star did not answer. Sheree and Kenya felt unwanted as a result of this. When Kenya confronted Sanya about abandoning them and not returning her calls, the 'RHOA' star's husband jumped to her rescue.
Everyone gathered for dinner when Sheree confronted Sanya about her being “uninvited," Sheree said she was in the lobby at 9.30 am (the production film showed her on the beach), then accused Sanya of not reaching out. Later, at the dinner, Sheree re-ignited the argument by informing Kenya that Sanya felt she didn't have to disinvite anybody. Kenya informed Sanya that it was her responsibility to ensure they arrived safely. Sanya complained that she was working, and it wasn't her obligation to babysit, and she wondered why Kenya hadn't called herself a car like she did the day before. Kenya uses it to criticize Sanya over her hosting duties, prompting Ross to step up and defend his wife, and the episode ends the way most mid-trip Housewives episodes do, with an overdramatized dinner cliffhanger.
Sanya opens up to Sheree about her equation with Kenya
Sanya and Sheree are shown resolving their misunderstandings from the previous night in the promo clip for the August 21 episode. Sanya expresses her gratitude to Sheree for their conversation, as she believes Sheree was "more disappointed" that she couldn't be with Sanya that day. But she is still on the fence about Kenya.
Sanya admits in a confessional that she despises the constant conflict between her and Kenya since she thought they were connecting, but she believes there has been a "shift." She believes this is due to her growing friendship with Marlo. She had hoped to form two friendships, but now she believes it is impossible.
Sheree cautions Sanya that Kenya will have an opinion about Sanya inviting Sheree but not her for a morning hike. Sanya is fine with it since she admits to attempting to establish a genuine relationship with Kenya, but she believes Kenya is continually trying to make things worse. A flashback shows Kenya insulting Sanya's hosting abilities, being nasty to Sheree and the cast, and, last but not least, hanging up on Sanya in the middle of a conversation while inviting her to the trip. Sanya believes she did nothing wrong by not checking on them while she got held up at work, and she contrasts it to Kenya checking on them if she was ever delayed due to her dancing commitment.
Finally, Sheree advises Sanya Richards-Ross, "Unless you shut it down, [Kenya] is going to keep poking you."
