LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Renfield' is an upcoming horror-comedy starring characters from Bram Stoker's 1897 novel 'Dracula'. The movie is reportedly a reboot of Universal Pictures' 'Dracula' series. After falling in love with a traffic cop, Dracula's loyal servant RM Renfield decides to find out if there was a life outside the shadow of The Prince of Darkness.

'Renfield,' directed by Chris McKay, is based on an original concept by Robert Kirkman and is written by Ryan Ridley. Kirkman, David Alpert, Bryan Furst, Sean Furst and McKay produce the horror-comedy. Nicolas Cage plays Count Dracula and Nicholas Hoult plays Renfield.

'Renfield' will have its world premiere on March 30, at the Overlook Film Festival, and will be released on April 14.
