ELLIS COUNTY, TEXAS: Shamaiya Hall, the mother accused of killing three of her children and injuring two more, had a criminal history stemming from a crime she and her twin sister Troyshaye Mone Hall committed. Further investigation into Troyshaye's past reveals that she was charged with stabbing two individuals, one of them was her 7-year-old daughter.

Troyshaye, 25, allegedly stabbed two people inside her Dallas home over two years ago, including her 7-year-old daughter, who later died from her wounds. Court records stated that on June 17, 2021, Troyshaye's mother was in the bathroom when she heard screams and subsequently learned from Troyshaye's brother that she had stabbed his friend in a different bathroom, according to Independent. Troyshaye's mother and brother tried to get the knife away from her, but she escaped and killed her daughter, according to court documents. An autopsy revealed that the daughter had more than 30 stab wounds. Troyshaye was placed under arrest and charged with aggravated assault and murder with the intent to kill, but she was found to be mentally unfit to stand trial and is currently receiving treatment for those problems. What crime did the twins co-commit?

Records show that Shamaiya was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon six years ago following an incident in which she and her twin sister Troyshaye attacked Troyshaye's ex-boyfriend, according to Daily Light. Troyshaye texted her ex-boyfriend indicating she was going to attack him on May 23, 2017, while Shamaiya, according to an indictment filed in Dallas County court, was with Troyshaye at the time.

The sisters allegedly headed to the ex-boyfriend's sister's apartment in south Dallas shortly after, according to records. The ex-boyfriend tried to slam the door as soon as he saw Shamaiya and Troyshaye standing there, but he utterly failed as Troyshaye managed to grasp his shirt and Shamaiya doused him in pepper spray.

The ex-boyfriend used the restroom to wash his face, and when he came out, he saw Troyshaye Hall gesturing with a knife and yelling, "Run up. Run up," the documents instruct. The sisters escaped after the friend of the ex-boyfriend arrived to assist them. They were accused of using a lethal weapon during an aggravated attack.
