'Real' Kayla Lemieux accuses media of twisting 'facts' in debate with 'concerned parents'

ONTARIO, CANADA: The Kayla Lemieux controversy does not seem like it will go away any time soon as now a Twitter account, Real_Kayla_L, has emerged online, claiming she was not the one with gigantic Z-cup prosthetic breasts. Lemieux, a shop teacher at Oakville Trafalgar High School, was sent on paid leave several weeks ago after her prosthetic breasts and attire caused controversy.

Later, the person was reportedly seen roaming outside in men’s clothing without breasts after school time. At the time, the Halton School District said, as reported by The New York Post, “While not currently on an active assignment, the teacher remains employed with the (Halton District School Board).”

Reacting to it, the “Real” Lemieux tweeted, “It is true. Currently, I can no longer call Oakville Trafalgar High School my home. Despite everything that has happened during my time there, I truly loved the school.  99% of my student and staff interactions were positive. Of course nothing can ever be perfect.”

‘They had never talked to me’

However, recently, the person accused the media of printing false stories about her before engaging in a fight with the Twitter account of the Concerned Parents of HDSB, parentsofhdsb. Lemieux alleged, “Have you noticed when media outlets print stories about me they write their narrative as ‘facts’ even though they had never talked to me. However when I spoke to the media in February they took that information directly from me and printed it and said that I was making claims!”

When parentsofhdsb asked, “Could you share what ‘facts’ they got wrong?” The “real” Lemieux replied, “If I told you, would you believe me?” The parentsofhdsb then said, “Willing to listen.” However, she did not post anything after that. However, another user, @4041s32 tweeted, “Don’t say your willing to listen when in reality you are not.  Same goes for the people who say they are open-minded, but they are not.”

‘We must be open to listening to others’

However, 4041s32 taunt did not go down well with parentsofhdsb as it posted, “I assume that you believe yourself to be open minded? When was the last time you engaged in dialogue with someone that had a different opinion than you? We must be open to listening to others, even when we don't see eye to eye ... in fact, especially when we don't agree!!”

The account also continued, “And where is the respect for the students and staff that were uncomfortable and found the chosen presentation to be offensive and sexual in nature? Has anyone stopped to think about how they felt? Did anyone take the time to speak with them to get their perspective?”

‘Clearly students were extremely disturbed by Lemieux's presentation’

“Move on?? Thank you for revealing your true intentions. It would appear that you in fact have no interest in open dialogue afterall!! That's all parents are looking for here. A chance for all sides to have their concerns heard. Clearly students were extremely disturbed by Lemieux's presentation and very uncomfortable being in that class .. so they took photos. They're kids. Kids don't always make the best decisions. However, parents were expressing concern long before the photos emerged.”

The parentsofhdsb account added, “Couldn't agree w/ you more .. it shud never have gotten to this point. Admin should have dealt with this on the first day of school. Unfortunately, it was not addressed and things blew out of control. Almost 7 months later & the school board is still floundering!”
