Season 7 of 'Ray Donovan' has really taken Ray (Liev Schreiber) through untested waters, especially with his family. His progress in therapy got derailed after he learned about the sudden death of his father, and we saw him relying on alcohol to process all the feelings. Mickey (Jon Voight) then returns from the dead, leaving Ray with a host of new emotions. Ever the fixer, Ray, however, focuses on how Mickey's return can help his work and figures that a dead man cannot be arrested, and pins a murder on his father before sending him away to The Maldives.

He is back at Dr Arthur's (Alan Alda) therapy session where he apologizes for walking out during their previous meeting before admitting to drinking alcohol to cope with the pain of losing his father. Ray also had some tender moments this episode, especially with Mickey accepting his forgiveness — we do not know if the master manipulator was just trying to get out to go to The Maldives — and Molly Sullivan (Kerry Condon) telling Ray that his late sister Bridget was her babysitter and once told her that Ray was the best person she knew. This obviously takes Ray aback, and he wants to get back to being that person.

We see him telling as much to Lena (Katherine Moennig), who has a shocker of her own to share with him. We heard her confessing to Bridget (Kerris Dorsey) in the previous episode that she is planning to move back to LA because she feels lonely in New York, and she finally tells this to Ray as well. It is clear that he wants to ask her to stay, but whether it is an understanding of Lena's needs or his ego, he bids her goodbye. It is seemingly clear that his own departure from the "fixer" life going to be impossible, but thankfully he may have the perfect replacement for Lena in his team.

In the synopsis for the upcoming Season 7 Episode 4 of 'Ray Donovan' titled 'Hispes' we see that because Ray was not easily reachable, Bridget steps in to fix the day when an unsavory publicity scandal hits Jonathan Walker Hanson. From the trailer as well, it is clear that jumps right into the action, and it is clear to see that she will have no problem fitting into Ray's world of fixing other people's problems.

We will hopefully get to see more of this when Season 7 Episode 4 of 'Ray Donovan' releases on Sunday, December 8, on Showtime.
