Ravi Patel, an actor, documentarian and a philanthropist's new four-part docuseries titled 'Ravi Patel’s Pursuit Of Happiness' has been acquired by the streamer HBO Max — it's a CNN original series. Many may remember Patel from 'Meet the Patels', a documentary that revolved around him finding a life partner. Now, in this upcoming docuseries, Patel will attempt to answer tough questions about life such as gender roles and immigration as he travels to four different parts of the world with four different people. Here is what we know of the upcoming show.

'Ravi Patel’s Pursuit Of Happiness' will release on August 27, 2020, in four parts.

Plot

According to reports, the docuseries follows actor, documentarian and philanthropist Ravi Patel, an Indian-American, as he travels the world "seeking answers surrounding life's universal questions". News India has reported that Patel will travel to Mexico with his parents and speak to them about retirement and aging, he will travel to Japan with his wife to discuss parenting and gender roles, he will travel to Korea with his friend who is an entrepreneur to speak about work and life balance and finally he will travel to Denmark with a friend who is Muslim to speak about the immigration crisis.

"I’m obsessed with trying new things and getting better. I love fun and I love LOVE, hence the premise of this show. Each episode truly was a life-changing journey; I learned so much about myself, laughed with some of the most inspiring people in my life, and gained fifteen pounds. With the world in such a crazy place right now, maybe this show is what some of us need, if anything for a laugh or two," said Patel in the press release from HBO Max.

Cast

'Ravi Patel’s Pursuit Of Happiness' will include Ravi Patel of course, along with his parents Vasant and Champa Patel, who were also part of 'Meet the Patels' which was listed in TIME magazine's '20 Romanic Comedies That Put a New Spin on an Old Genre'. The names of his friends joining him are yet to be revealed, stay tuned for updates.
