“The Golden Globe winner, in more recent years, was involved in a very successful line of wigs. Raquel leaves behind her two children, son Damon Welch and her daughter, Tahnee Welch,” it added.
The veteran actress was last spotted publicly in July 2022
As per RadarOnline.com, it was in July 2022, when the ‘One Million Years B.C.’ star was last seen in public. However, the sighting was not a pleasant one for her fans as well as for the veteran actress since she was seen not in a pleasant mood while getting her nails done.
DailyMail.com reported that at the time, Welch went through a lot of emotional changes during her three-hour beauty appointment at J&J Beauty Lounge nail salon in Beverly Hills. However, at the end of the manicure procedure, she seemed happy with the final results.
Welch was happy with her single status
It has been reported that not just people, Welch also avoided getting into a relationship after marrying four times. Her last marriage was with actor Richie Palmer, with whom she was till 2008. The ‘Hannie Caulder’ actress’ other three husbands were James Westley Welch, Patrick Curtis, and André Weinfeld.
Though many of her friends in Hollywood wanted to see her with a man, she was totally against it. RadarOnline.com citing a source said, “Raquel has a lot of Hollywood friends who think she'd be happier if she shared her golden years with a man. She isn't interested in finding a partner because she's perfectly happy living life on her own.”
The insider also added, “The last thing she needs in her life right now is a man around the house who she has to cook for and clean up after.” Welch herself echoed the same feelings during an interview in 2011. She reportedly shared, “I love men and I love their company, but I am too independent and self-motivated. I'm willing to date but, quite frankly, there is a diminishing group of eligible people at my age.”
“I don't mind the traditional roles of male and female but, as you can tell, I am a very strong-minded woman. I'm sure it would be a challenge for an awful lot of men. They wouldn't want to deal with it or, if they would like to deal with it, maybe I'm just not that interested,” Welch added.
