With several big names such as The Weeknd or Rina Sawayama getting snubbed from Grammy nominations, it's understandable that such artists will not be accepting such a move, but can the same be said for the lesser-known acts of the music industry? Jamaican-American rapper Safaree has taken to his social media to have words with the Recording Academy, even dropping a "f*** you" bomb at the end of his post.

For those unfamiliar with the rapper, Safaree is also a television personality whose most common appearance was when he joined the cast of the VH1 reality show, 'Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood', in 2016. Regarding his music, Safaree first entered the musical arena in 2015 with his debut mixtape 'It Is What It Is'. His discography includes the debut project's sequel 'It Is What It Is, Vol. 2' and two additional mixtapes. The rapper made a more notable entrance with the release of his debut studio album 'Straitt'. The album arrived in January this year.

During the late hours of November 25, Safaree opened his tweet with "The music business is politics and hustle. I’m never surprised by the Grammys." He notes, "I should’ve been gotta a Grammy," explaining, "I’m a f*****g unrated underdog goat. I just don’t click up w/ni%%as or follow style so they hate." At the end of his tweet, Safaree says, "Anyway f*** you Grammys y’all been dumb a***s! Y’all ain’t s**t."

The rapper then shared one of his music videos which he deemed Grammy-nomination-worthy, titled 'Credit'. "THIS SONG SHOULDA BEEN NOMINATED FOR A GRAMMY Safaree Credit Music Video," he wrote. Watch the music video below. Although Safaree may have some points, fans on Instagram aren't as convinced. "You don’t even deserve a BET Award 🤦🏽‍♂️," says a fan while another writes, "Safaree sit this one out baby." One fan wrote, "Whose gon tell him? 🤣🤣." Another added, "I need his 'I should have been got a Grammy' confidence level 😂."

Over on Twitter, reactions from fans have been similar. One fan dropped some detailed criticism for the rapper in two separate tweets. In the first comment, the fan says, "Love the way you speak so highly of ya self but you music lacks story telling. U get no vision when I listen to you. You've luves a lifetime but shy away from rapping about most of it. No feelings with Akon could if been a hit if your verse had substance." In the second, a fan says Safaree's main mistake is vanity: "Also when you say you humble but ya mouth don't reflect that you miss ya blessings. You way vain and self-centered most of the time. This video and song could of been about ya baby and the blessing she is, but instead you used her for clout and begged for credit instead."
