Randy Orton may have sustained knee injury at WWE House Live Event after awkward landing
Former WWE Champion Randy Orton faced AJ Styles in a singles match at a live event held by WWE at the Giant Center on December 29 in Hershey, PA. It appears that Orton may have suffered an injury as the match was halted after he landed in an 'awkward' manner after trying to hit his opponent. The severe injury ended up stopping the contest and the medical team came to rescue after the X-sign was confirmed by the referee.
Orton was taken backstage and fans noticed the injury appeared to be on his knee but confirmation about the specifics of the injury is yet to be released. This injury occurred within the first two minutes of the match and the injury seems to have occurred on the left knee. WrestleMania is on its heels this coming April, and this is a bad time to sustain a grave injury. Orton has been a top WWE name for over 10 years and would play roles in the 'Royal Rumble pay-per-view event' — he was also in a program with Styles on WWE Television.
Twitter ran with the hashtag WWE Hershey, showing a video of the injury from the venue itself with some fans speculating how it may have occurred. While 'landed weird' seems to be a conclusion by on-lookers, we are waiting on an official statement about Orton's injury, health, and recovery.
