Upcoming Netfix series 'Ragnarok' is set in a pre-apocalyptic world that has youngsters toe-to-toe with natural diasters and so-called omens of Judgement Day.

'Ragnarok' is a Norwegian drama series releasing at the end of January focusing on another angle of the Norse mythology. Set in a town called Edda, the inhabitants of the town aren't what they seem to be. The series, filmed in Amsterdam, follows them as they naviagte an ever changing world from warm winters to agressive rains, heading for a Ragnarok unless that can be stopped.

'Ragnarok' will release on January 30, 2020.

Plot

A small town in Norway experiences winters that are warm and rains that are violent seemingly - heading for Ragnarok. With characters that seem to have powers and are nothing like they look like on the outside, this pre-apocalyptic world has these youngsters toe-to-toe with natural diasters and so-called omens of Judgement Day. 

Cast

The cast includes David Stakston, Jonas Strand Gravli, Theresa Frostad Eggesbø, Herman Tømmeraas And Emma Bones.

Jonas Strand Gravli works include '22 July' (2018), 'Askeladden - I Soria Moria slott' (2019) and 'Wisting' (2018).

Theresa Frostad Eggesbø works include 'Skam' (2015), 'Kometen' (2017) and 'November' (2018).

It is produced by a Danish screenwriter-based production company, SAM Productions and its creator, writer and executive producer is Adam Price. Simen Alsvik is co-executive producer and writer, Meta Louise Foldager Sørensen serves as executive producer and Stine Meldgaard Madsen as producer.
