LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: An influencer recalled the horror of getting a botched butt lift which left her hospitalized only hours after the cosmetic surgery.

Rachel Velasco decided to go under the knife when she was 23 last year. But just hours after the operation, she walked into the emergency room of Cedars-Sinai hospital in LA and ended up screaming and covered in blood in "indescribable agony." “I’ve never been in so much pain, I feel like I’m dying,” she said in a recording she took on her way to the hospital. "All my stitches are burning. I keep passing out, like in and out of consciousness. I feel nauseous. I can barely speak. I need to get there immediately."

Velasco revealed to NBC News that she had been planning the surgery, known as a Brazilian butt lift, for more than a year. The operation, which is believed to be the fastest-growing form of cosmetic surgery in the world, tenses the waistline and plumps the buttocks. This cosmetic treatment has become increasingly popular in recent years all thanks to global stars such as Kim Kardashian flaunting their designer behinds. The decision to go under the knife was business related as the OnlyFans model thought that the move would scrape in more money.

According to Daily Star, the surgery involves cutting into and taking fat from one area of the patient’s body and injecting it into the buttocks. However, the fat-inducing surgery can be very dangerous as the fat can accidentally enter one of the large blood vessels found in that region which results in a clot that can block blood flow to other parts of the body. Velasco was lucky in this case as the operation did not fail but the pain afterward was overbearing. It is revealed that Velasco had no idea that the surgeon performing the operation had previously had her license suspended for medical carelessness before going through the cosmetic transformation.

As per the outlet, Velasco remained fully conscious during the operation. “I was fully awake during the BBL, which is kind of crazy,” she said. “Like, if I go through my camera roll I was high off laughing gas, Snapchatting my friends. In the background, you hear my butt with fat getting injected into it.”

After returning home, Velasco went to bed but was awoken three hours later. “I got home, I fell asleep for about three hours. Around 9 or 10 o’clock that night, I started to feel the worst pain of my entire life.” The social media personality requested her brother to get her medical help. She received additional pain relief before getting sent off home again.

The pain lasted for four days with the operation leaving a four-inch-long permanent scar on her stomach. “I would have not done this if I would have known that I would have a scar and it would be this big hooplah,” Velasco concluded.
