Fox host Rachel Campos-Duffy's Trump-backing husband Sean also on network
Jill Biden's press secretary Michael La Rosa has issued a furious statement against Fox News host Rachel Campos-Duffy for her "disgusting" remarks about the First Lady and Presiden Biden. White House has demanded an official apology from the Fox & Friends weekend host, as Rosa tweeted, "This is disgusting. @RCampusDuffy and @FoxNews know better. They can do better and their viewers deserve better. I hope they'll apologize to the First Lady and leave this kind of talk in the [trash] where it belongs."
The repercussion has stemmed from Campos-Duffy's problematic remark on Fox & Friends Weekend, where she said Jill Biden has failed the country by letting her "incompetent" and "mentally frail" husband run for president. While criticizing Joe Biden on the Afghanistan crisis, Rachel Campos-Duffy said, "When you look at what's hurting America, when you look at this lack of leadership, and you wonder who is responsible for putting someone this incompetent and frankly this mentally frail in this position? As a political spouse, I can't help but look at Jill Biden." She further went on to add, "And If you ask me, the most patriotic thing Jill Biden could have done was tell her husband - to love her husband - and not let him run in this mental state that he's in. I think she failed the country as well."

Campos-Duffy is the wife of Sean Duffy, a former Republican Representative for Wisconsin's 7th District. The staunch Trump-supporter has served in the position from 2011 to 2019. The former prosecutor is currently a contributor for Fox News.
Rachel Campos-Duffy has been married to Sean Duffy for 22 years. The couple has a large family with nine children, as they welcomed their youngest daughter in 2019. She was born prematurely with Down's Syndrome and a congenital heart condition, which prompted her father to resign from Congress in September that year.
The couple goes long back as they met for the first time on a reality TV show. In 1994, Rachel Campos starred in 'Real World San Francisco' while Sean appeared in the 1997 'Real World Boston'. While Campos was a young Catholic woman from Arizona, Duffy was a lumberjack and aspiring attorney from Wisconsin. The two started dating when they starred together in the 1998 'Road Rules All Stars'. They fell in love and got married within a year, and their first child was born soon afterward.
The couple is extremely family-oriented and enjoys spending quality time with their children. However, the Republican duo is also well-known in public for their vehement support of former President Donald Trump. In fact, both Sean and Rachel have been spotted in frames with Trump on many an occasion.
Campos-Duffy is yet to respond to the White House's demand for an apology and it remains to be seen whether she retracts her statement or not.
