It looks like a proverbial war has broken out on Twitter shortly after Young Thug and Pusha T's apparent beef. Young Thug criticized Pusha T for lyrics from a newly surfaced, unreleased Pop Smoke track in which he disses his old enemy Drake. Unofficially dubbed 'Paranoia', the song features guest appearances by Pusha T, Young Thug and Gunna. According to Pop Smoke's manager, Steven Victor, the track didn't make its way to Smoke's posthumous debut album, ‘Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon’, due to a glitch, as reported by Genius.

Pusha T's verse in question takes aim at Drake, suggesting that the latter is a snitch which adds to the ongoing heat between the two rappers. See the lyrics for the verse below:

“You know reality bites, it’s chess, not checkers
Those empty threats only sound good on your records
If the patois is not followed by a Blocka
It’s like Marked for Death Screwface, without the choppa
Let ’em rush the stage when you made like Sinatra
Only to hide the blade flyin’ back through LaGuardia
I might even buy a home out in Mississauga”

Mississauga is the Canadian city right next to Drake's hometown of Toronto. The verse also reportedly references Pusha T’s concert in Toronto in which a fight broke out while he accused Drake of paying fans to throw beer cups at him on stage. Young Thug criticized Pusha T's verse in an Instagram story, saying, “I don’t respect the Pusha T verse on the song with me and Gunna cause I don’t have nun to do with y’all beef nor does Gunna." He added, "If I knew that was about him I would’ve made changes on our behalf.. this rapper s**t so gay," according to NME.

Pusha T's response afterward on his own Instagram story was “Don’t feel bad, nobody knew what the verse was abt,” as he tagged Young Thug. Their remarks didn't sit too well with fans on Twitter. Speaking of Pusha, one user said, "That wack multiple years since beef aside. It was corny to even be moving like that on that Pop track knowing this a posthumous album. Also if you gone do something foul like that. Make the diss legendary not whatever the hell that was. Just overall corny (sic)." Another user commented on the fact that the song is for Pop Smoke's posthumous album, saying, "Dragging someone on a Dead mans song ain’t right. Pop smoke album supposed to show support to him, his family, and friends. But sure have blind loyalty. He free to diss but that don’t mean he ain’t shallow for it." A fan added, "Trust, It’s been like 2yrs and Pusha is still dissing probs cuz he’s salty Drake embraced it and fans couldn’t really care less about it."

"I fw Push but he has to stop going for drake now. That beef shoulda ended in 2018," wrote a fan to which another responded, "Tell drake to stop going as well. Drake has taken the same amount of shots if more. Why is it an issue only when push does it??" Another user also pointed out the lack of Drake's innocence in the matter with the comment, "Drake dissed Pusha and Common on Pop That and Stay Scheming tho, and those were tracks he was featured on." One fan criticized Young Thug as well, saying, "Would Thug have said that if Drake was the one sneaking on the record?  We know the answer to this. He doesn’t realize he just chose a side." A supportive Young Thug fan wrote, "It's dope how Thug isn't bout that rap beef life. This man just wants to spread straight vibes through his music. There's a reason he paid Lil Baby to move out from the hood."
