RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA: A senior "apostle" and co-founder of a church in Southern California has been arrested for alleged sexual abuse of a minor girl. Puredi Hillary, 67, was accused of sexually abusing the child for a period of three years, starting when she was nine. He has been charged on suspicion of continuous sexual abuse of a minor and committing lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14. Hillary presently remains in custody with his bail set at $350,000.

In April 2021, the police officials at the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department were contacted by a 14-year-old girl who alleged that she was sexually abused from the ages of nine to 12 years. An investigation into her complaint found Puredi Hillary as the prime suspect. In May 2020, Oklahoma cowboy pastor Roy Shoop was arrested for raping three minor girls, under the pretext of training them for the local rodeo.

Who is Puredi Hillary?

Puredi Hillary is the co-founder of the Shiloh Tabernacle Church in Rancho Cucamonga, where he was proclaimed as an "apostle". According to the church's website, Hillary was "saved" as a child and he has been serving Jesus since 1990. He founded the church ministry in 2001 together with his wife Ruth Hillary. It is located on Archibald Avenue, towards the east of Los Angeles.

It is still unclear how the girl came in touch with Hillary. Meanwhile, the church is yet to issue any official statement regarding his arrest. "A Body of Believers in Jesus Christ who are passionately in love with him & sharing His love with others by the Power of the Holy Spirit," reads the Facebook bio of the church. The website for the Shiloh Tabernacle church has been suspended at present but prior descriptions of the institution made quite a few supernatural claims. "God has worked miracles through their hands such as raisings from the dead, healings from various diseases such as cancer, aids, diabetes,” New York Post quoted from the church's website.

The church is also known as Puredi Hillary Ministries, INC, in its mailing address and has a considerable number of followers in the neighborhood. A Facebook description reads, "Puredi Hillary Ministries, INC. (Shiloh Tabernacle Church) began in 2001, and as in the case with many churches, the ministry started in the home of believers. The focus of the Ministry is and has been deliverance and the prophetic, with its basis in the Bible. The Bible states that “Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil.” That is exactly what this ministry is endeavoring to do through the power of the Holy Spirit. There continues to be miracles of healing, deliverance from demonic oppression and possession, re-dedications and most importantly, salvations. There have been many prophetic pronouncements through the pastors and others in the ministry about “increase.” We have seen increase particularly in the spiritual realm and in the gifting of the Holy Spirit. Along with the spiritual increase, we have also seen increase in financial blessings for believers in the ministry. We believe that God is preparing us for a move of the Spirit that will be unprecedented in the history of mankind."

Hillary is scheduled to make a court appearance on Monday, July 26. The police department has urged the public to contact Detective Rachel Young at (909) 387-3615 with any information about Hillary or the investigation.
