Twitter has indefinitely suspended the account of pro-Trump lawyer Lin Wood who has reportedly kept in touch with POTUS even as others in his camp have started distancing themselves from him.

Wood is a controversial QAnon conspiracy theorist who has repeatedly expressed support for the violent riots and the attack of the Capitol building by Trump supporters on January 6.  "I am not at all surprised by Twitter suspending my account,” Wood told one news outlet, before adding cryptically, “I know who did it and why”.

After being banned, he took to rightist social network Parler, and wrote, “Get the firing squads ready. Pence goes FIRST.” Pence is being seen as someone who has betrayed Trump because he refused to try to overturn Biden’s victory. Lin Wood's Parler post was shared by Twitter users who couldn't believe that Wood was openly making death threats against VP Pence. "Lin Wood is directing people to shoot Mike Pence," tweeted the @parlertakes handle that has been tracking Lin Wood's posts on Parler. Another user replying to the tweet wrote: "@SecretService Donald Trump’s Lawyer Lin Wood is directly threatening the life [of] the vice president of the United States."

Wood is the lawyer behind several failed, groundless lawsuits challenging President-elect Joe Biden’s win. Ashli Babbitt, who was fatally shot while storming the US Capitol on January 6 often engaged with Wood on Twitter.

Less than 24 hours before the violent mob descended on the Capitol building, Babbitt retweeted Wood's post from his now-suspended account that read: "MUST BE DONE LIST before Congress meets today: 1. Mike Pence @vp @Mike_Pence must resign & thereafter be charged with TREASON. 2. Rod Rosenstein @RodRosenstein must be arrested & charged with being accessory to murder & TREASON. 3. Chief Justice John Roberts must RESIGN." The tweet is no longer visible after his account was suspended.

Even before the mob violence at Capitol, Wood had tweeted from his account that had been active at the time that Pence had to "face execution by firing squad” for treason that prompted questions about his sanity.

There have been reports that mobs were looking for Pence in the hall of the Capitol, screaming for him by name -- an indication that the threats are not idle ones. Attorney and author Seth Abramson referenced this in his tweet when Lin Wood renewed his call to have a firing squad kill Pence on Parler.

Lin Wood has also posted on Parler that "Pence & leaders of the coup are planning to arrest & execute President Trump & his followers", labeling it a "typical move by Communist tyrants" according to the @parlertakes handle who posted screenshots of Wood's post saying: "Lin Wood states on Parler that he is hearing rumors that Pence and others are planning to arrest and execute Trump and his followers."

No action has been taken against Wood by the FBI or any government security agencies despite his inflammatory posts to followers on Parler. Twitter suspended his account after he suggested that the mob takeover of the Capitol was staged by Antifa. When it was active, his bio included the acronym for a popular QAnon slogan, “Where we go one, we go all.”
