Prince William and Harry talking to each other at Prince Philip's funeral would have ‘truly warmed Diana's heart’
The recent rift in the British royal family has had plenty of fallouts, but for fans of Diana, the most heartbreaking was the divide between her two sons who she loved so dearly. Diana devotees couldn't help but wonder how devastated the late princess would have been to see her two boys at such odds with each other. However, it seems that there could still be hope for the two brothers.
For the first time in over a year, the two brothers actually spoke to each other face to face after leaving Prince Philip's funeral. While Harry initially broke the ice by speaking to sister-in-law Kate Middleton as the family left St George's chapel, Kate probably realized that the brothers needed a moment together and fell behind to let them talk.

It was a sad day that brought back memories of when the brothers had to walk behind the coffin of another person they loved immensely — their mother. At that time their grandfather, who was their pillar of support, walked beside them.
Fans hoped that the lifetime of memories would bring the brothers closer together. One user tweeted, "You walked with us. Now we walk for you," referring to Prince Philip walking with the boys at the funeral of Princess Diana.

Royal biographer Andrew Morton in a piece for The Sun said, "What would have truly warmed Diana's heart is that William and Harry, who did not even glance at one another during the procession with other royal men, did speak to one another at the conclusion of the funeral service — the first time they had met face to masked face in a year.
Their five-minute chat was the first sign of a possible reconciliation since Harry and Meghan's bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview more than a month ago."
Fans were happy to see Diana's boys talking again. One fan tweeted, "THIS is what Diana would have wanted to see. Her boys together, united #williamandharry #PrincePhilip." Another fan tweeted, "Such a beautiful scene to see Harry, William and Kate all talking and walking beside each other after the funeral service. #williamandharry."

Will grief help pave the path for reconciliation? After all, both Prince William and Prince Harry loved Prince Philip dearly and will want to present a united front for their grandmother who has just lost her partner of 73 years. What does this mean for Harry's relationship with Meghan if reconciliation is on the cards?
It seems that for now there are still plenty of questions, but at least there is an open line of communication between the brothers.
