MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly decided not to work with their US-based PR agency, Sunshine Sachs. It has been said that the decision was taken after the pair’s popularity dropped and now their charitable foundation Archewell will handle the work.

As per reports, the New York-based company had worked with the Duchess of Sussex since her acting days. Not just that, she also shares a close relation with the firm’s senior partner Keleigh Thomas Morgan. The publicist was even invited to Meghan and Harry's wedding in May 2018.

According to a source, “This is a really big deal for Meghan. She takes the view that she doesn’t need to pay an outside firm a lot of money to do PR for her and Harry anymore.” However, another source claimed that parting ways was not unexpected. They added, “When Sunshine Sachs began working with the Duke and Duchess, the plan was always for it to be temporary until a full-time internal team could be created. After they were hired, Sunshine Sachs worked alongside them to help the transition. All sides are on good terms and periodic advisory work continues.”

This comes after the Sussexes were in the UK recently to be with their family as the Queen died. Her Majesty died on September 8, following which, Harry issued a statement that read, “In celebrating the life of my grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen — and in mourning her loss — we are all reminded of the guiding compass she was to so many in her commitment to service and duty.”

“Granny, while this final parting brings us great sadness, I am forever grateful for all of our first meetings — from my earliest childhood memories with you, to meeting you for the first time as my commander-in-chief, to the first moment you met my darling wife and hugged your beloved great-grandchildren. I cherish these times shared with you, and the many other special moments in between. You are already sorely missed,” he added.

Meanwhile, people on Twitter have reacted over the latest news with a user tweeting, “Actually, she was behind in her payments and after they finally received their cash - they dropped HER!” The second user wrote, “Ginge, as soon as their is a substantial pot of gold, that woman will be gone with half of it. Old and well used trick.”

A third user said, “Which is why what's left of #5's money is all tied up in Trust Funds, that the Trustees keep raising the age at which he can receive them. Oh, and the monies don't count in a divorce either if it's in a TF.” “And yet the statement from Sunshine Sachs read they had parted from ‘the exiled Royals’. Somewhat 'ouch', and suggestive of bad blood. From their POV, M&H drew scorn and ridicule to their company due to the oversaturation they allegedly insisted upon. SS can only be relieved,” a fourth user noted.
