Brad Parscale boasts Trump's Tulsa rally had 2.6M online viewers, Internet says 'we're here for the comedy'
President Donald Trump's Tulsa campaign was expected to have over a million attendees but the turnout of people was a bit different. With many people sending an RSVP for the event, the Trump administration was convinced that the turnout would be a remarkable one. Trump also expressed his happiness as he tweeted about the same. However, on the day of the event, less than 20,000 people showed up. There had been a few who were waiting outside to make sure they were the first ones to get in but despite this, the turnout was not as good as the Trump administration had expected.
As it turns out, it was later reported that TikTokers and K-pop fans had sent an RSVP to make sure all the seats had been booked. However, Trump's campaign manager, Brad Parscale, did not see this as a loss and was quick to share on his Twitter how several people had been viewing his rally online. "Almost 100K concurrent viewers watching the #TrumpRallyTulsa on our YouTube. 35K on Facebook. That doesn't include any of the simulcasts we're sending out. Total playbacks today across all platforms: 2.6 million Enthusiasm for @realDonaldTrump," he retweeted.
He further made it clear that the less turnout was due to the fake news spread by the media along with people who had been protesting for the 'Black Lives Matter' movement. "Before you buy some leftist BS about a bad turnout, realize what happened. Protesters were scaring families away. That's from those there and witnessed it," he retweeted. He also wrote "100" for the tweet that read, "Look at the crowd shots. There are NO children. There are NO families. Normally there are thousands of families inside. The media scared them with threats of violent protesters."
Meanwhile, people who had been watching the event online made it clear that it was to laugh at the turnout. "Most of us are here for the comedy," read one comment. "Nope. A lot of us are watching the circus," read another. Another echoed similar thoughts and wrote, "Watching it for the hilarious turnout," while another explained, "No we’re laughing at him, trust me."
