'Power' Season 6 Episode 6: Tommy and Ghost become 'brothers' again for Tariq's sake, but Tasha still has to step in to save the day

Friends turned foes Ghost and Tommy still have one love in common - Tariq. When his life falls in danger the duo set aside their differences to save him

Ghost (Omari Hardwick) and Tommy (Joseph Sikora) haven't been on the best of terms lately, what with both of them trying to kill each other on more than one occasion in the current season. In the previous season, fans saw how the relationship between business associates and friends who treated each other like brothers fell apart. Ghost turned Tommy against his own father to serve his cause, and in retaliation, Tommy decides to kill Ghost, but accidentally ends up killing the love of his life, Angela (Lela Loren).

This was the beginning of the end.

While Tommy assumed that the fued between them was over on the basis of an eye for an eye, Ghost was a mad man driven by rage and revenge. He tried to kill Tommy at the beginning of the season but failed as well. While that, among other things, leads Ghost to realize this is not the life he wants anymore, that he wants out, Tommy made it clear to him that the next time they meet each other, he would try and put a bullet in him. And, that is where their relationship was at.

Fortunately or unfortunately, there is still a young man they both love dearly - Ghost's son and Tommy's godson Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.), but it needs to be said that 'Power' fans are having a tough time rooting for him recently. Tariq who decided to start his own little drug distribution business gets caught by Jason (Mike Dopud) for mixing Aspirin with the pills he was originally supposed to sell.

That seriously was one of the stupidest things Tariq could have done because the Serbian drug lord does not play. As soon as he finds out, he brings the two men in and tells them that they have only one option to save him - get $2 million. Now, there is no question about Ghost and Tommy still hating each other, but they both want to save Tariq, and from the promo for the upcoming episode, it is evident that they are going to work together for this purpose.

Despite this, it seems like they are unable to do what it takes to get Tariq out, and Tasha (Naturi Naughton) finally has to get involved. She gets in the ring for her baby, and it remains to be seen if she is able to come through for Tariq. We will find out when Season 6 Episode 6 of 'Power' premieres on Sunday, September 29.
