QAnon representative Marjorie Taylor Greene took a dig at Hasbro's iconic toy Potato Head for dropping ‘Mr’. This comes just a day after she had a clash with her neighbor over a transgender flag. Taking to Twitter, the conspiracy theorist shared a picture of her installing a framed image of Mr and Mrs Potato Head outside her Capitol office. She wrote, “I’ve always thought Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head were the sweetest couple!”

Hasbro on Thursday, February 25, announced that it will be rebranded into a "gender-neutral Potato Head" toy line. In a statement, the toy company said, “While we’re renaming the Mr. Potato Head brand to Potato Head to better reflect the full line, the iconic Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head characters aren’t going anywhere and will remain Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head.” Later, it added that the “Mr.” and “Mrs.” names will be less significantly written at the bottom of the box. The senior vice president of global brands and general manager at Hasbro, Kimberly Boyd, explained the reason behind the change and said, “Culture has evolved. Kids want to be able to represent their own experiences. The way the brand currently exists—with the ‘Mr.’ and ‘Mrs.’—is limiting when it comes to both gender identity and family structure.”

However, Greene seemed not to agree with Potato Head’s theory. Her sarcastic stance against the toy company came after she installed another frame outside her office to annoy Representative Marie Newman for putting up a transgender pride flag alongside her door. The 46-year-old shared the footage of her putting up another frame that read, “There are TWO genders: MALE & FEMALE ‘Trust The Science.” She captioned it as, “Our neighbor, @RepMarieNewman , wants to pass the so-called "Equality" Act to destroy women’s rights and religious freedoms. Thought we’d put up ours so she can look at it every time she opens her door.”

Meanwhile, just like Greene, Piers Morgan also seemed irritated because of Hasbro’s decision as he took to Twitter and commented, “Who was actually offended by Mr Potato Head being male? I want names. These woke imbeciles are destroying the world.” There were several on the social media platform who agreed with him as one such user tweeted, “Not me!! Fed up with things having to change just to suit minority of people!” The second one said, “Well said Piers. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. Strange that the kit came with a mustache for the mister and puckered cupid lips for the misses so I don't see the need for a gender neutral one.”

“It’s nothing to do with product and everything to do with license. Seriously. They wanted to broaden their license. It’s nothing to do with inclusion and everything to do with keeping a tight rein on their branding,” another one added. However, there were many who favored the dropping of ‘Mr’. A person commented, “I, too, would like to know. As with most culture-war issues, 99% of the 'woke left' don't give a damn. Its the right-wing 'anti-woke brigade' who lose their minds over this kind of thing and turn it into a big story…” Another user said, “The whole point of the Potato Head toy is for kids to make their own Potato Head character by mixing and matching different parts and features. The ‘Mr.’ implies it is a distinct character, rather than a vessel for creativity.”
