BROOKFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS: Massachusetts State Police and Brookfield Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a 35-year-old woman who has been missing since Tuesday evening, January 10, after leaving her boyfriend's home. Brittany Tee has been missing for nearly a week, but her disappearance was not reported until three days after she was last seen. Police believe she left her Main Street home and disappeared near Lewis Field.

Over the weekend, investigators combed Brookfield around the friend's house for clues. Eventually, police dogs were able to detect Tee's scent in the woods near Lewis Field, a playground, according to the New York Post.

Police deployed a drone on Sunday, January 15, to scout the area and find the missing woman. According to Tee's acquaintances, the delay in reporting the missing woman was due to a lack of communication. "They've had a drone in the air, cadaver dogs people on the ground. They got dogs looking for human scent. It's been an extensive and thorough search," Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early Jr said, according to Boston 25 News.

Dozens of her family members visited the Brookfield Police Department to learn more about the investigation and express their hope that the increased attention helps speed up the search. While Tee's pals intended to help the search, investigators are concerned that they will unintentionally damage critical evidence. “I know the urge is out there to go and help in the search right now but we’re asking that you please not do that now,” said Brookfield Police Chief Michael Blanchard, according to CBS Boston.

Tee's sister expressed concern on Monday, January 16, adding that it is rare for her sister not to phone home. "She would never do it, and that's what's bothering us the most, that we just haven't heard from her," Bethany Tee said as her voice gave way to emotion. "She would never, ever do that." "I'm hoping, I'm just hoping that she didn't have a working phone, so I'm just hoping that someone will see this," Bethany Tee added. "I don't know. I don't know, I just have no words right now," as reported by MNS.

“There’s a lot of people that are really concerned about her and we just want her to know that we all love her so much and that we want her home safe,” said Brittany’s friend Mattie Sjoblom. “Today was the day that all of us just kind of had enough. We did show a large presence of support out in the parking lot across the street from the station today which I feel as though helped get the ball rolling,” Sjoblom added.

Tee, who is 5'7" and 120 pounds, was last seen wearing a black coat, pants and work boots. Her friends and relatives say she has never been out of touch for so long. Authorities have asked Brookfield residents to check the cameras outside their homes for relevant information.
