STUFFED BEHIND BARS: Police find teen car thief Joshua Dobson hiding inside ‘giant teddy bear’ before arrest
ROCHDALE, ENGLAND: Joshua Dobson, a disqualified driver from Rochdale, made an attempt to evade the neighborhood team of the Greater Manchester Police. After stealing a car and running out of gas, the 18-year-old was attempting to escape the police.
When police noticed the enormous teddy bear breathing, they discovered him hidden inside. Cops were looking for the youngster when they came upon a house with a 5-foot-tall "breathing" teddy bear. They were shocked but soon learned that Dobson had torn off the bear's buttocks and hid within its stuffing.

Last Monday, Dobson was given a nine-month prison term for stealing a car, operating a vehicle while ineligible, and evading payment at a gas station. At his sentencing hearing at Manchester Magistrates' Court on Friday, information on his peculiar arrest in Rochdale was made public.
Police had been looking for the young person since May after he stole a Mitsubishi ASX car and then stole £30 worth of fuel from a nearby gas station.
The teddy bear was found slumped in the corner of the room, and the cops 'did a double-take' when they discovered that it looked to be breathing. They discovered Dobson inside and removed him from the plush doll.
‘Joshua Dobson was sought by us after stealing a car in May and not paying for fuel that same day. When we went to arrest him, our officers noticed a large bear breathing in the address before finding Dobson hidden inside. He’s now stuffed behind bars after being sentenced last week for theft of a motor vehicle, driving while disqualified, and making off from a petrol station without payment.’ Rochdale Police wrote on Facebook in a post.
Dobson's unsuccessful disguise was made fun of by Facebook users when information about the unique episode was shared online. They called the fugitive's rapid thinking 'hilarious.'
Another skeptic said that they had to 'check the date' to confirm that the message was not an April Fools' joke by the cops. For the response, the Greater Manchester Police were approached.
