Super Bowl LVI: Polestar 2 ad takes dig at Elon Musk's Tesla, fans say 'comin' for blood'
Looks like electric vehicle startup Polestar is leaving no stone unturned to draw attention to their electric car Polestar 2 which is expected to release later this year. Aside from advertising for it during Super Bowl LVI, the brand also went on to take digs at its competitors such as Elon Musk's Tesla and Volkswagen in a cheeky 30-second ad.
The brief ad titled 'No Compromises' featured shots of Polestar 2 from various angles with the word 'No' alongside various terms such as "epic voiceovers", "dirty secrets", and "greenwashing". However what grabbed everybody's attention was when the brand subtly threw shade at Elon Musk by featuring "No conquering Mars", and at Volkswagen with "No diselgate" referring to the brand's diesel emissions scandal. The ad ended with "No. 2" and zooming in on "Polestar 2" car.
