Piers Morgan slams Gayle King for acting like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's 'PR mouthpiece’
Piers Morgan slammed Gayle King for being Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s “PR mouthpiece'' and called her out for not doing “real journalism”. During the March 7 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan and Harry made some shocking allegations against the royal family that sent shockwaves. They also explained their reasons to step down as senior royal members and Meghan claimed there were "concerns and conversations" about Archie's skin color even before he took birth. She also accused the palace of not providing any help when she felt like killing herself while being pregnant with her firstborn.
After the interview aired, King said that she had a talk with the pair. She also claimed that Meghan has evidence to prove her claims. But Morgan did not buy this and hit back at her on Twitter as he wrote, “Hi @GayleKing - rather than acting as your Sussex friends’ PR mouthpiece to facilitate their ongoing public trashing of our Royal Family, how about doing your job as a journalist and ask them about all the lies they told in @Oprah’s interview? America should hear THE truth.”

America should hear THE truth.
Buckingham Palace also released a statement after the interview went on air in the UK. The statement issued on behalf of the Queen read, “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members. ENDS.”
Besides, Prince William also insisted that the members of the royal family were "very much not racist" when he visited School21 in east London to promote a children's mental health program. But King told CBS, “Meghan has documents to back up everything that she said on Oprah's interview. Everything.”
Sharing that Harry had chats with his elder brother and Prince Charles, King said, “Well, I'm not trying to break news, but I did actually call them to see how they were feeling, and it's true, Harry has talked to his brother and he has talked to his father too. The word I was given was that those conversations were not productive. But they are glad that they have at least started a conversation."
"And I think what is still upsetting to them is the palace keep saying they want to work it out privately, but yet, they believe these false stories are coming out that are very disparaging against Meghan, still. No one in the royal family has talked to Meghan yet, at this particular time,” King continued while adding: “I think it's frustrating for them to see that it's a racial conversation about the royal family when all they wanted all along was for the royals to intervene and tell the press to stop with the unfair, inaccurate, false stories that definitely have a racial slant. And until you can acknowledge that, I think it's going to be hard to move forward. But they both want to move forward with this and they both want healing in this family. At the end of the day, that is Harry's family."
