Pierce Brosnan and Keely Smith's love story: A romance that made Hollywood go ga-ga
Pierce wore a navy-blue suede shirt over a black top, a jaunty patterned scarf, brown slacks, and dark brown boots as he exited the celebrity-favored restaurant with his two leading women. The 59-year-old documentary filmmaker looked stunning in an off-white eyelet sheath over a slip dress, a matching shawl, and white high-heeled Chanel sandals. Keely, whose brunette hair was pulled back into a neat updo, carried a brown embroidered flower purse.
Birthday wishes are in order
The Malibu-based couple, who have been married for 21 years, have been inseparable since meeting on a Mexican beach in 1994. "Happy Birthday my darling," Keely gushed on Instagram. "Wishing you a blessed, bountiful, and adventurous new trip around the sun. It's not how old you are - it's how bold you are in life. I love you with all my heart."
While Pierce and Smith's 26-year-old son, Raspberry Blonde musician Dylan Brosnan, posted nothing, their younger son Paris Brosnan celebrated his birthday with an Instagram slideshow.
"Happy 70th to the creator @piercebrosnanofficial; more life, more art, more blessings," the 22-year-old LMU grad wrote on Instagram. In the comments, Brosnan replied, "Love you dearly my sons... my gratitude abounds." The two-time Golden Globe nominee, who is now a grandfather of four, lost his first wife Cassandra Harris and daughter Charlotte to ovarian cancer, but their sons Chris, 50, and Sean, 39, are still alive.
The hidden painter in Pierce
Pierce is a self-taught painter whose solo art exhibition So Many Dreams is now on display at a Los Angeles gallery at 434 N La Brea Avenue until May 21. The exhibition, which includes 50 paintings, 100 phone drawings, script drawings, lino cuts, NFTs, and a short documentary video produced by Dylan, was co-curated by the journalist.
Pierce's painting is "deeply personal," Keely told Vanity Fair, adding fans will be delighted to see "this other creative side of him." "He always sets up a studio and paints wherever he goes and on every movie shoot he visits. The result is what you see at the exhibition" she said.
Brosnan's next project will be to produce and feature as career criminal Billy McDermott in Tyler Spindel's heist comedy 'The Out-Laws', which will release on Netflix on July 7.
Adam DeVine, Ellen Barkin, Nina Dobrev, Michael Rooker, Julie Hagerty, Lil Rel Howery, Richard Kind, and Poorna Jagannathan also star in the Adam Sandler-produced action film.
