What is Pie Wine?

"Pizza is and always has been the official food of good times and good friends. Finally, now Pizza has an official drink," states Pie Wine's website about their unique product. This unique drink which is a labor of love from two best friends, hopes to help pizza lovers enjoy their favorite dish further by pairing it with a wine that perfectly complements their favorite slice of pizza.

The Pie Wine was created using premium California grapes, to put a modern twist on traditional Italian drink. What sets these wines apart from the many other available in the market is not only the bright and colorful cans which they come in, that closely resemble a sports drink but also the light carbonation that's present in all their wines! So whether you prefer a pepperoni pizza or a simple margherita pizza, you will find the perfect wine from Pie Wine's catalog.

Who are the founders of Pie Wine?

Two lifelong friends- Kevin Klein and Josh Green are the brains behind Pie Wine. The duo who have been friends for over three decades often turned to pizza and wine to celebrate the many highs and lows in life. They often found themselves searching for that one perfect wine that would pair perfectly with their favorite slice of pizza. After several international trips, the duo figured that no such drink existed. So, they took on the challenge of creating one by themselves, thus giving us- Pie Wine "The OG Pizza Wine".

Klein, who is best known for his stint as KROQ morning radio host, explained in an interview, "Pizza is loved by everyone, and is one of the most eaten and celebrated foods in the world. It deserved its own drink, and now it has one.” "I knew the Pie Brand was a good idea, but I had no idea how much people would love it. The industry loves it and everyday people agree," he added while reflecting on the almost immediate success of their product.

What is the cost and where to buy Pie Wine from?

Pie Wine is currently available for purchase on the brand's website here. You can opt for either a 4-pack or 12-pack carton. The 4-pack carton retails for $20, while the 12-pack costs $20 each. Since there's a wide variety of pizzas available in the market, Pie Wine has created three unique blends of wines, which they believe complement various pizzas.

Sweet White

Described as 'sweet za', this modern take on the traditional sparkling red wine is said to be light, yet full of flavor with subtle notes of peach. If you're wondering what to pair your favorite margarita pizza, veggie pizza, or hot honey pizza, then Sweet White is your answer.

Red Wine

Often called the "perfect drink", red wine is the OG Pie Wine . The brand describes it as, "The World Famous Red is the OG Pie Wine that started it all. It has been called "the perfect drink," but it's far too modest to ever admit that. Blended with some of Central California's most flavorful grapes, this one really pops. World Famous Red pairs perfectly with all pizzas, and brings pepperoni and sausage slices to the next level."

White Wine

If you tend to favor white pizzas, garlic bread sticks, salads, etc, then Pie Wine's white wine is just the perfect blend for you. Unlike the other dry white wines, this one boasts of subtle sweetness balanced with a slight acidity, which creates a perfect pour for those who love the flavor with a matted finish
